When shows at 7.30 pm are delivering close to 3 ratings, 0.7 TVR is a cause for disappointment. However, Sony is neither disappointed nor worried.

Its recently launched a daily, Shubh Vivah that opened with 0.7 rating and has stayed at that level for for the last four weeks.

The reason why the channel, according to an informed source, is not complaining is that Sony opened the 7.30 pm slot for original content for the first time with Shubh Vivah — that is competing with well established older dailies like Choti Bahu, Sasural Simar Ka and Sasural Genda Phool.

"The ratings aren't exactly in line with expectations. When most of the other shows on the channel are notching anywhere between 1.5 to 3-plus TVR, anything below 1 TVR is not good. But then even after months Kuch To Log Kahenge is also not going beyond 1 rating point," says the source.
