I don't know about books but in rs ramayan it was this way only

And that poster shows lankini as brahmlok ki guard and due to arrogance was cursed to be rakshasi and her moksh ka rasta bhi bataya gaya tha

B- I always thought why Hanuman ji burnt whole lanka jab adharm ravan ne Kiya, many said because all lanka waasi were rakshas and unhe yehi lagta tha ki ravan did right
