The sisters(Betty) are all nervous and giving away all clues to the ones who have kept their eyes open to watch out their dirty acts( Gayatri, Kamchan and Shaan)where as the others( tej, Alok and BM ) have blind faith on Sabherwal daughters especially BM. They are taking every opportunity to just throw accusations at Anokhi repeatedly to cover up their hideous act. Whatever question they are asked, instead of answering they just talk gibberish about Anokhi being a liar and trying to defame and what not. However, Shaurya has an inkling of his sisters’ misconduct to some extent by the way he looks with an expression of doubt.
There is so much warmth and care in Ss’s touch and voice when speaking to a distraught and shocked Anokhi. His support was needed the most at that moment to calm her down until Babli reached there. His actions looked as if he wanted to pour out all the love and concern hid in his inner self to give her the much needed strength.
Just like Mr Bhalla Vineet is ready to overpower a weak person and had to be reminded of Anokhi’s state to shut him up by our own Mr Ss. It’s clear that ragging issues haven’t been brought up to their notice till now. Ss didn’t leave it to Shaan to help Anokhi but in every instance where she needed help or was about to faint he was there.
He turns out to be a completely different person when he sees that his dad is Willing to take suggestions from Astha. If you look at it from a general point of view the conversation between Shaan and Astha looks normal but for Ss it is his abandonment and neglect that kicks off the beast in him and makes him lose his cool. Had he been under the care of a positive person instead of BM he would’ve been different. Atleast if not as a mother he would’ve treated Astha with respect as a human. This is the exact change that Anokhi brought about in him with her positive outlook.
Okayyyyyyy
So we got the bits of Shaurya making Anokhi drink water again ❤️
One thing I liked about Devi Shaurya phonecall was that finally Devi asked him if Anokhi was okay. It made her more human to me! But what is this behaviour like a school girl calling shaurya to complain about anokhismiley37
The entire scene where Shaurya guides anokhi outside is so beautiful. He is holding her like she is a china doll and she is so lost! There is no discomfort no awkwardness. And somehow you can feel the chemistry. Well directed and well acted. Shaurya will always hold on to Anokhi.
The most interesting thing about the Saberwal house scene...kanchan caught on to the fact that something was amiss bebo and Kitty and Gayatri taught them some manners. For a house where women are not supposed to have any existence they sure are smarter than the men! I like how the show subtly points this out again and again
The re-watch has made me appreciate Babli even more. She might look weak but is strong enough to love and hold on to her sister irrespective of the odds.
The way Shaurya shuts up Vineet is where you can see that he is more that a mysogynist. His thoughts are way complex. He is swinging between assertive and delicate Shaurya. His tone and demeanor is so subtle around her. The way he rushes to her...smiley27
Shaurya is shocked. The place he worked to build is not perfect. Someone has been ragged. He wants to think it's not a possibility but the evidence tells him otherwise. And so he decides to remedy the situation and tells anokhi to tell him what happened.
The shaurya - shaan scene is one of my favourite. Shaurya is angry at the mention of his mother because she is an outsider and he knows she can bring chaos. But to tell shaan that she 'was' his wife is not his call. He is no one to end their relationship. And finally he says it that hia father has no forethought when it comes to his mother and he does not know who is the father anymore. One sentence brings out all the pain.🥲
Back to the sabs... obviously they prefer ignoring what things are...but I liked tej's logic to discuss it properly. To see if what is stated is what was.
Side note 1 : Anokhi turns to look at shaurya...it feels like she had to look at him. Thank him maybe or just feel the comfort that was emitting from him. Was it platonic? Was she falling for him without knowing herself? I don't know but it was beautifully done.
First thing first. Shaurya was looking very hot in that suit.
Vineet of course reverted to type and started blaming Anokhi for her state. He believes she is making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Alok cannot understand how Anokhi does not know the names of her classmates. Does he even realise that it was her first day on campus and her priority was nor to learn the names of her classmates by heart.
Both Shaan and Kanchan have a doubt on the twins and also points it out to them. Gaytri of course has seen how they were behaving oddly.
Now Devi with her disdain would find fault in Kanchan because the Sabhwlerwsls by birth are not to be looked down upon. Dies she even realise she is not a Sabherwal by birth?
Now coming to Tej,
He is questioning the fact whether it is really a case of ragging. In the previous episode he wanted to know where Anokhi is found as it is a question of the reputation of SIAC. Now that she has been found locked in a classroom, the reputation goes out the window.
Finally Shaurya and the softness with which he touches Anokhi is so gentlemanly. We see the caring nature of him and he also believes this is a clear case of ragging which needs to be dealt with. Unfortunately the phone call from Aastha brings him back to his pain and now he will do anything to thwart Aastha and Shaan. He will not accept everything that Anokhi says at face value because of Aasth.
Again Anokhi is paying the price of Aastha's neglect.
Shaan for all his neglect and drunken state is the most objective of the Sabherwal lot and maybe more fair.
Even Shaurya has these traits but the Aastha cloud hanging over his head make him react rather than sit and take appropriate action.
Anokhi the poor soul was traumatised by the experience. To think that there have been worst happenings to girls in the name of ragging makes me shudder.
All girls should be given lessons in self defense...
Shaurya shines when he shows us his soft side. As he walked a traumatized Anokhi down the steps, I was reminded that two days before he had told her that she needed to take care of herself and not rely on others on those same steps. He's worried about Anokhi, but he's concerned about the situation for SIAC as well. He softly talks to her to assess the situation until she says "Mere saath ragging hui thi". This makes Shaurya very defensive "hamare college mein ragging nahi hoti". I'm glad Shaan was around to be a calm force. He was able to showcase the evidence that this wasn't a case of a student falling asleep in class. Anokhi's belongings were in the trash. The room was locked from the outside. Shaurya and Shaan accepted that something happened, it would be investigated, and culprits would be punished. Shaurya was pained looking at Anokhi and as she walked away and looked back, she seemed to revel in the softer, kinder Shaurya. It's a parallel that we see at their wedding after the varmala.
Obviously that understanding and soft Shaurya came to an end at the mention of Aastha. He is mad just thinking that Aastha controls his dad, but also jealous of the care that Anokhi gets from Aastha. Shaurya isn't wrong that Anokhi could have informed Aastha. But Shaan also doesn't need Shauya's permission to talk to his wife. It's like Shaurya is playing tug of war with Aastha over his father. Shaan is clear that "woh meri biwi hai.....tum uske bete ho". Shaurya's pain is raw and he doesn't accept this retelling "biwi thi. naam ki biwi. hum done ko chod ke chali gayi thi". Again, Shaan continues to disregard Shaurya's 25 years of pain.
Babli and Anokhi are precious. The way Nikki clung to her Di. When Anokhi fainted ,Shaurya and Babli moved to stabilize her and attended to her. It reminded me of how Babli and Shaurya would work together in Goa and then pre-wedding. If they had pursued Babli and Ahir, we could have gotten such awesome foursome content!!
Side note:
~ I'm glad that Devi had enough humanity to ask "teek hai na" about Anokhi when she found out the poor girl had been locked in a classroom. It layers Devi. She's not a black hearted evil villain. She's a selfish human being who will compromise on all values for her own benefit.
~ I find it interesting that the Shaurya who disregarded his parent's marriage is so enthusiastic about his own, symbolized only by sindoor. Talk about a sea change!
~ It's sad that the Bhatias are all pieces of shit...the way Vineet downplays a crime such as ragging...SMH.
IF didn't work for me all of yesterday so I'm behind on my reviews!

First thing first. Shaurya was looking very hot in that suit. YES!!!! YES!!! YES!!!!
Vineet of course reverted to type and started blaming Anokhi for her state. He believes she is making a mountain out of a mole hill.Vineet is a escapist kind of a guy, who escapes from his shortcomings by blaming the women around him
Alok cannot understand how Anokhi does not know the names of her classmates. Does he even realise that it was her first day on campus and her priority was nor to learn the names of her classmates by heart.Heyyyy ! Lets not blame Alok here, we all know he is not the smartest guy out there. His intelligence is quite..ahem ahem...below average?
Both Shaan and Kanchan have a doubt on the twins and also points it out to them. Gaytri of course has seen how they were behaving oddly.

This was my question too...she herself is not a saberwaal, All bahus have a part of their identity left somewhere, even Gayatri but Devi, none! She has merged into the saberwal sea which makes me ask, WHO IS DEVI?
Now coming to Tej,
He is questioning the fact whether it is really a case of ragging. In the previous episode he wanted to know where Anokhi is found as it is a question of the reputation of SIAC. Now that she has been found locked in a classroom, the reputation goes out the window. Tej is a righteous person until his pride does not get involved. Its very, as log as it serves my interest kind of thing with him. But again , Tej's pride is too big to bother about petty issues and like the rest he has placed himself so above the world that the students who even might have wanted to complain, would not do so!
Wow! That is a very interesting take! Its true, half of everything Anokhi faced was due to Aastha!!!!!
All girls should be given lessons in self defense...AGREE

Shaurya says a lot out of anger but will be the first to help anyone in problem. That much is evident from the start, stopping the car so Makhan can eat, sending Makhan to the police station for Anokhi, ensuring Anokhi has a pair of sandals, and now taking care of Anokhi so softly like she is made of glass and may break.. SIAC is his pride and he cannot believe anything bad may happen there.
Shaan has this tendency to judge Shaurya because he is a man, but forgets the 25 years he gas neglected him..
Unfortunayely Babli never showed any chemistry with Ahir as she showed with Vicky..
Shaurya is a romantic at heart.
I love those examples of Shaurya's kindness. He is quick to anger and when it comes to Anokhi, his filter doesn't work so well. I love when he makes a statement(like kicking Anokhi out of class) and then has amnesia about it.
Yes! Shaan really just forgot all about the 25 years of neglect when his own 25 years of sadness came to an end. He's a joke as a father!
I totally agree about Babli and Ahir. I didn't see any real chemistry, especially when she was trying to push him and Anokhi together initially. I was giving it a chance since that seemed to be the direction they were going.
Hayye....who knew behind the current stern and angry professor was a lover boy fighting to get out?

You know as much as i was angered at the fact the Anokhi's character was like a sin graph, Shaurya opens up like an onion, with flaws and all. His concern is surprising, even to Anokhi. But his privilege is evident.I am sure ragging happens at SIAC but Shaurya is so above the world sometimes that people might actually find it hard to go to him. The saberwaal pride is quite evident in the fact that he denies the existence of ragging in SIAC in a jiffy. I find his entitlement a flaw till the end.
Shaurya is used to the saberwaal house revolving around him but the love he wants the most does not revolve around him. Unfortunate, is it not? But shaurya cannot dictate terms of shastha relationship like shaan has no right to force the mother - son relationship. You are right, its a tug of war. War for attention.
Do we have a ship name for the sisters? :P Yes, the Bhalla sisters have my heart too.
But did you notice the disdain in her voice? Very well acted!
Hahahhaha...true. I wish they had written some transitions better. People bash Shaurya a lot for that scene (Even i was NOT A FAN of the scene tbh)
I find his entitlement expected, but interesting. There's many things we take for granted if we're not faced by the lack of it. I can imagine that from his place of privilege and pride, SIAC is the thing he got right in life and having a flaw pointed out about his prestigious institution would make him defensive.
I obviously have more empathy for Shaurya than Shaan when it comes to the tug of war. He doesn't know the Shastha truth so we can't expect understanding from him. This story needed more exploration.
We've always just said Bhalla sisters I think, no portmanteau!
I looooooooooove Alka's acting. As much as I hate Devi for her words and actions, I want to always applaud Alka for her acting.....never under, never over!! Just perfect and on point!
Sooooooooooo the sindoor shaadi had me up in arms! There's probably many many many posts by me ranting about the BTS we got and the actual scene as well. It got the story moving, but I hate the ITV drama aspect of it!
