I could tell you Anokhi's perspective in such a situation. Something similar happened to me a while back though he wasn't my professor😆

It's awkward and well, you're nervous because of the closeness for two reasons : that what if do something silly like step on his toes and being this close to someone, even if you dislike them. You're not used to getting your personal space invaded like this so nervousness ensues.

This is why I said debo's expressions were apt!
