u must be tired, it was a long journey na...she said offering him a glass of water. thank u he said in a gentle tone. rajat felt really very awkward because on returning home not his mother, his father, his brother received him but a short cute girl who was a complete stranger welcomed him and made sure that he was comfortable. she was strolling around the house dusting and cleaning every other thing claiming an authority on the objects and the only thing his eyes were able to do is stare from left to right them from right to left. not hard to guess that he was actually feeling awkward in his own home. here is your coffee with more milk and less sugar! he again thanked her thinking how does she know his taste...🤔

what is your good name miss??? he asked politely... ohh m sorry, I just forgot to introduce myself... m anushka shastri, technically your family friend and officially your neighbor she replied with a wide smile. oohhkkk, nice to meet u young lady he said putting forward his hand. two palms joining in a Namaste with a sweet smile was his answer... all our family members have gone for a preplanned weekend holiday, unfortunately I had to stay back because of my assignments. he knew whatever she had said because the moment he stepped out of his car he realized on getting sareen's call that his surprise was counter attacked by their surprise.😉

u freshen up I will set the dinner table for u she requested him marching towards the kitchen he followed her demanding a glass of chilled water. then he saw her cutting, slicing and chopping the salad after which much to his delight he enjoyed watching her punching the dough with all her strength then artistically moving the rolling pin over it to spread it over the hot pan. pls don't use butter or ghee I like my rotis plain he demanded walking towards his room and she nodded thinking that how can he be so different from the sareen's she knows to be butter lovers!!!😆

the food was simple cooked in less oil along with curd, pickle and salad... where is your plate he asked as she was just about to leave. m in no mood to eat, she replied making a face. why??? he said in a puzzled state... m alone here and I really don't like to have my food without my family... she turned to leave but felt a grip on her wrist, then young lady please favour me with sharing a meal with u... he pleaded in his ohh so very gentle drool worthy tone. she was stunned with such gestured of his but had to give in as he served a plate for her...😳

m sorry she apologized the second time playing with her food and her eyes met his questioning gaze with his raised brow. I know it has got really awkward for u to stay with me but minty aunty said that I make arrangements for u as and when u return. dear that is completely fine he said trying to brush off the air of awkwardness that seemed to be happening. the rest of the dinner passed in awkward silence something of which he had become habituate but it really pinched her from inside because she was habituate to shastri's news discussions, dev's juicy gossip session and peeya's continuous chit chatting over dinner but right here right now there existed pin drop silence😒

he helped her with cleaning the table and then the dishes after which she took hold of her favourite novl and found a beanbag to settle in the corner of the room. more than surfing news channels what interested him more was her carelessly tied hair along with her loose blue tunic and cute pink pyjamas which had little hearts printed on them but the very next moment she caught him, wanted to question him but chose to keep mum and concentrate on her novel where the hero was just about to meet with an accident...😉

BAD MANNERS!!!!!!!!! the disciplinarian in his head was shouting continuously in his head, he admitted that it was bad manners to stare at a girl's clothes but he finally found himself helpless because he was amazed to see her move around in such baby like clothes all around the house since the evening not caring how messed up her hair actually looked but she was really comfortable that way. a slight smile appeared on his face seeing her and thinking about all his female acquaintances till date!!!😳

but his thoughts had to take a break with a a sudden TRING TRING, it was momma calling!!! after questioning about the tiniest of details of his arrival, minty took anu's class about how she received him, arranged everything necessary and behaved properly with him and to each question of hers anu's reply would be yes auntyji, I will auntyji and rajat again enjoyed a blend of awkward, confused and weird expressions on her face but suddenly her face glowed up with sparkling eyes and a wide smile as she talked to everyone one after the other laughing, cracking jokes and even doing dialoguebaazi...😲

and surprise surprise she seemed so different from the kind of person he just got to know- she seemed sweet, shy and innocent but much to his wonder she was lively, chirpy and bubbly and he kept admiring the way she flipped her hair, the way she blinked her eyes, the way she rolled her eyes and the way she smiled showing her teeth as if the one on the other side of the phone is in front f her watching the play of emotions on her face... m going to sleep u need anything she asked returning his phone. good night he said lazing up on the couch!!!🥱

and this was rajat's happy morning seeing anu singing, dancing, tapping clapping along with the pressure cooker going PSSSHHH and the boiling tea. GOOD MORNING anushka he said in a sleepy tone. and seeing him her body went on statue mode... GOOD MORNING she replied like an obedient child making him feel uncomfortable with her sudden change in behavior😕

the sareen and shastri gang is returning in half an hour she him informed him which cheered his mood... and he figured out that it was the reason to work behind getting a grand breakfast ready so early in the morning. he asked for his coffee and she served it to him along with the newspaper and now again she found the situation to be a bit weird because there was so much of stillness, the atmosphere was so quite with rajat engrossed in the newspaper!!!!😔

LOOK WHO IS BACK!!!!!!!! neil shouted at the top of his voice rushing towards his brother and hugging him tightly. anu was happy to receive all the family members back but after a few moments the pressure cooker's whistle warned that time for work!!! anu served everyone with aloo paratha along with fresh fruits, rajat just kept looking at her as she worked chit chatting with everyone, she served him- cooked in less oil because it cant be done plain, she whispered in his ear again leaving him in wonder. his noticed innocence with her attentiveness, her confused face with its possessed elegance did not fail impress him but the other thing that he noticed was how she was in front of him was something very different from what she was with him and he failed to understand why???😕

arre anu pls tell me na how was your dinner date??? what date anu shot back dev just about to blow up... the one with rajat, I know that u swere together half the day and the full night and saying this dev poked anu. oh pls dev in your dreams that I really wish to go on a date and that too with rajat??? why anu he is so so so handsome u know only lucky girls get that chance dev said day dreaming...

yeah he is a gentleman but to anu rajat was more of a disciplined and strict authority who loved punctuality, neatness and more than that silence and her heart not forgetting to mention how his continuous gazes made her feel that something or the other is wrong with her, how his presence made her think that she better keeps quite, how many thoughts run in her mind about being sure that rajat is sareen's son because he is so very different from the whole family!!!🤔

am I gonna eat her up??? he questioned himself when he saw anu and neil murmuring something and then bursting out into laughter... she was so different from the anu he met yesterday here not thinking too much he went for a walk to explore the market place...😎
