Minty peeped into the room and listened with horror.
Leela Maasi was giving tea to Sareen and saying,
"I know Sareen saab , you are shocked that Minty switched the grooms
behind the sehra. But this is not the first time
she has done somehing like this. Years ago, she had
switched the bride behind the gunghat. Yours was an arranged
marriage. My grandfather had chosen you for me.
On the wedding day, Minty, my cousin, gave me sleeping tablets
and took my place. Everyone thought I was unwilling and sent Minty
instead. Later, my grandfather convinced your parents and
you never knew."
Sareen was listening in shock . Leela Masi continued,
" I know Sareen saab, You are a fair man. You want everyone
to get their rights. Will you give me mine?"
Minty let out a silent scream!
