Why does everyone think so bad of anu?

Hey guys, I've been reading these posts everyday and I finally decided to comment LOL! 😉
I just wanted to give my two cents regarding Anu's character.
I mean I get why everyone's saying that she's a fool, but i don't think that she made such a bad decision.
If you think about it, she either had to choose the guy she met a couple of months ago and who she fell in love with or choose her father, who is her only parent, who she has known for her entire life, who considers her as his favourite daughter and who is in quite critical condition. I don't think she made that bad of a decision by choosing her father. Any one with a single parent, who appreciated what the parent has done for them, will give anything to keep the parent happy.

Not to forget that wretched Minty's comments against her. 😡 That woman is constantly asking her to "get out of my life, leave my son alone, are you happy seeing him in pain..." when the witch is the main cause of the problem.

I think Rajat understands this now. Yes he was angry at first but he is slowly guessing the truth behind her decision. That's why he's giving the relationship a second chance even if she's trying to move on. He knows that she doesn't want to but she's bond by her duty and love towards her dad and her two sisters.

Lastly- out of topic- but I hate that we're getting less Anuraj scenes and more Anu-Veer scenes 😭

Bcs Anu always gives in to her father's demands. She should have fought for her love like how Rajat is doing. Come on his mother no matter how evil she is tried ending her life. But he is still trying to get his love back. Anu should have convinced Shastri. But no she being an ideal daughter had to say yes to her father's irrational conditions. Rajat is right she failed their relationship. Where is that Anu who went against her father to prove Rajat's innocence? Why can't she do the same now? I am not asking her to go against her father but she should have tried harder.
Also, the way she was smiling with Veer and was ok with him touching her and all, that just put me off.

@red ...me too not liking it ...this anu is not the one whom we know ..
And when she prayed to shankarji that she wants to forget Rajat and move on in her life !!! Is it that much easy fir her ??Can't she fight for her love just like her husband ...but no she gave up and not trying to convince her dad , make him understand that she loves rajat ..and her this behavior killing Rajat.. Rajat's mom is at fault but is it Rajat's mistake ??? Its his bad luck that His mom is like this ..anu's first priority is always her family..jab nibha nahi sakti thi to pyar/ shadi kyun ki??? She is/was playing with Rajat's emotions..

Anu is giving into her Father's demands but she ia also responding to Rajat's Mom's demands-
regarding the anullment. Unfortunately, there is in this situation a person who nearly killed
anu's Father and showed that she could kill her own self rather than allow Rajat to marry anu.
And this person is Rajat's 'Mom' . Anu has a tough decision to make.
As for Rajat's 'heroic' fight for his love- he knows it's his Mom's fault. That's why he wants to
accept Anu. what if Anu's Dad had given his Mom a heart attack and then ranted and raved
jealously. How would he behave?
We all saw how Rajat and his mom behaved when they thought it was Anu's fault.
I don't ger people's anger towards Anu. This is a realistic show to the extent that
no family would want their daughter to co-exist with a murderously/suicidally
jealous woman like Minty. They would advise their girl to move on.

Anu chose her sister over her love. Forced Rajat in a relationship with Devyani. She was wrong there.

Then came the cd track we all supported her and bashed Rajat.

We did sympathize with Anu when she was forced into this promise thing. All we wanted from her side was a bit more of an effort. She shouldnt have just agreed to sign the annulment papers. Shastri would have agreed (may be not whole heartedly) had she tried harder. Her problem is Rajat isnt her priority.. He always comes after her family while for Rajat his world starts with her and ends with her.

Btw Minty tried to hang herself bcs Sareen asked her to get out of his life and not bcs of Anu. She would rather kill Anu than taking her own life.

In last episode, She didn't mind when Veer put his finger on her lips, held her hand in the first meeting itself.. This is the same Anu who didnt shake hands with Rajat when they first met. This is what we are not liking.

Lastly, she said yes for marriage. Being a die hard AnuRaj fan and looking at the amount of efforts Rajat is putting in saving this relationship, I obviously feel Anu failed Rajat and their marriage and viewers too.

I am happy to read something on Anu's defense.
Anu is a good daughter. She doesn't think of herself. Always trying to please her father. That's good.

But she chose to marry Rajat. Marriage is not a game. There are lot of responsibilities come with it. For this if she can't save her marriage due to her father's demands. At least she can not get married to another man too. Coz she don't want to repeat her mistake ..and marry a man whom she doesn't love while she is loving another one. It is not fair for both men.

She can tell her father that after her first experience in marriage she is happy being single and start a career life ..she is very young ..marriage can come later. At least she can be true to her self.

I agree with you Cara. Amidst this mess only one person is suffering and that is Rajat. Anu seems to be doing fine or rather thats what they are showing as she is eager to move on and even prayed to shankar ji to lessen her love for Rajat. This proves that she doesn't love him as much as he does.

And that is why I feel for Rajat. Because I already know that all his efforts are in vain. Anu was special to Rajat because she was one girl who could do anything for her family. He fell in love with her selfless character and today it is because of that very aspect that he is suffering.

He has complete faith that Anu will never agree to get married to someone else. Its going to be extremely painful to see his faith being shattered to pieces.

I think is not Anu's fault...
First it was Rajat's fault ,not clearly said about Anu and that Devyani's engagement fiasco...
Then karishma 's Drama... Is not Anu's fault at all...is all Rajat's fault...
Then everyone was happy about marriage including shastriji even after knowing everything about Minty...
Shastriji called off marriage b'coz of Minty only... is not Anu's fault...If Rajat doesn't want to do anything against his mom then how can we except from Anu?

Thanks fore replying guys! It's interesting to see these different point of views.
I know that she's wrong to some extent but what else can the poor girl do? She's trying to move on with her life and Rajat is making it harder for her (and I'm loving it LOL- I'm such a terrible person😳)

The only thing I'm hating right now is how her dad is shoving Veer's proposal on her. I mean, he does not even know the guy well and he's forcing her to marry him.
And WTH, why are they showing less and less anuraj scenes?!? Today was like 20 mins of Veer. It's irritating.
