I guess after curse Dhamini repents 😕but since the curse cannot be un done and Shani cannot put his sight normally on people Dhamini will become his sight and hence will get the name Manda Devi because a Hindi meaning of Manda is slow as Shani is slow so to match him so that she can be his eyes.🤪

It would be so Bollywood-ish!!

Only a theory!!!😆 Don't know if there is actually any relation 😆
