Sade saati literally means 7 and a half year. Shani is the slowest planet and it takes approximately 2.5 years in a sign.

Sade Saati begins when Shani is about to enter the sign your moon is placed. Moon signifies your emotions and mind. So Shani effects your mind, it teaches your boundaries, limitations. It can give you stress.. you will feel lost. Just like Shani Dev himself felt before realizing true potential. It imparts soul learning while cutting your karmas and making you pay for them. Wow! You've got so much knowledge about planets. I have heard that Shani is supposed to be Saturday. If you are born on Saturday does this have an affect on your life?

Sade sati means shani occupying your rasi, the previous rasi and the next rasi. now shani is in vruschikka or scorpio rasi which is 12th house from dhanusor Sagittarius.
