Meanwhile in Patal-lok, Shukracharya is making a hurricane kind lf thing upon Indra's insistence so that they can invoke Shani to show his true form.

Vishwakarma vents at Chhaya and asks her why she had kept truth from him. Chhaya tells him everything. He is emotional and sad that his grandson had to live in the forest for so long and did not get love from his own father and family.

Shani enters while vishwakarma watches.. The light blinding him. . . .😃

Precap - Chhaya tells vishwakarma that Sangya has created her from her shadow.

Shani threatens Yam with his classic marg Par aajao . . Anytha muje tumhe maarg par laana hoga😳

Yama is shown protective of his father while Shani is shown protective of his mother. Shani is shown to be born with characteristics of his future calling while Yama is shown to have no inkling of his at the age of 10 too!

Perhaps the solitude that was forced on Shani during his growing years shaped him. Perhaps the penance his mother underwent when he was in her womb - made the child more spiritually perceptive. Perhaps it was his destiny.

I think because Shani metes out justice slowly and gradually. Slow suffering makes one retrospect, think about your own and other people's reactions. It teaches patience and perseverance. It makes one values the fruits of labor, because he doesn't give you things easily, it makes one work hard . Everything good comes slowly. He has the ability to tell someone's deepest desires. Also, yamraj is the God of death. Chitra gupt writes everything down and yamraj assigns souls accordingly. These souls are reborn on earth again and the karmic cycle starts again.

The reason he had to suffer was because people only shine and get purified when they have endured.

Shani has to be more powerful since he is to be feared so he can restrain Devas , asuras and people going off path.

Since Earth is karma bhumi, soul learning is possible only during when one is alive . People fear Shani since he can cause suffering in one's lifetime and do not think what will happen after death. Saturn is the fatherest planet, all other planets are bound by karmic lines drawn by him. That is why planets after that are not able to give any result in vedic astrology. Not just planets but even Devas.. . Including Yamraj and Surya.

Alakh- Thank you for that wonderful explanation, I loved your POV and your opinion on this, it is absolutely beautiful 😳 I agree, Shani is Karmaphal Data, so basically, all that you receive from Him are the fruits of your Karma or actions 😳

What is it with Tiwariji and nice characters? Can't a hero at least have a healthy brotherly relation with anyone? Come on, Shani is a God, he is born a God and he can manage his duties without being psychologically tortured all through his childhood!
And Chhaya was no saint, by the way, she did show favouritism! What's with all this white/blackwashing of everyone?

Karthikeya is good, but why do they need SO much of drama for everything?

And the boy playing Yama, is so handsome; I hate when he makes the angry expressions; it ruins his charm! :(

Another thing that's bothering me is that Chhaya was an out and out clone of Sangya, so shouldn't Yama and Shani have similar traits somewhere? :S

However, I do see a lot of sense in this. It's not really torture. Anyone and everyone who has come as great grows during difficult times.

Lord Indra is God too, but Lord Shani outshines him in his qualities.

Yam will have to come through. The sole reason of Shani's existence in making Devtas and Asuras alike realizing the cycle of karma..showing them that everyone is equal when it comes to karma. Since Devtas rule swarglok and are better looking, they have so called superiority complex. Here comes a God who doesn't look like Devta but is one, donned in simple attire dark like Asuras but humble. He somehow doesn't really fit either side, this is what makes him different. Just one look and he can turn one to ashes, read your deepest and darkest desires. Won't leave you until you're cleansed internally once he is after your life.

Chhaya, not sure of her portrayal here. Maybe she all get selfish once Sangya returns. Right now she's bound by her duties.
