But as you write, not hurting Souma and that's a plus. Actually no harm nor Harman. Sometimes I think that Harman is not a goal for the Varun plan. yet. It is possible that Varun keeps Harman as the last.

No hard feelings for him as long as he don't intervene between HaYa. He is shown slowly opening up his cards and the best part of it is that he wants HaYa to stay together for his motive to be fulfilled. So I have no grudges against him. And well he even don't look like a villian I actually laugh when he conspires something!
