Soumya has gone through one of the most deadliest pain of losing her mother who have always stood for her and she didn't want harman to go through the same pain especially when he is ready to sacrifice his happiness for her sake. On the other hand she completly understands preeto's pain cos somewhere she could relate her to nimmi's anguish when manninder mistreated her. Preeto loved his only son and she can go at great lengths to ensure his happiness, but today the same woman is ready to disown her only son. This must have pricked soumya's conscience who never had taken any decision selfishly. So she stopped harman from leaving with her cos for her this is a pure selfish decision of harman to break ties with his family just for her sake, to break ties with a mother who never in her life thought anything away from his happiness! This decision is what makes our somu different from everyone, a girl standing up for a person who have only insulted her in its first place and never accepted her whole-heartly. Thats the reason preeto was filling up with some gratitude for her bold step.
