Before saying anything else, I'd really like to appreciate the writers of Shakti and the casts and crews for bringing this sensitive topic on television.
It will be really hard to bring out things about kinnars in an appropriate way.
Now coming to point, I think they should show Soumya as an intersex and not a transgender and the reasons are;
1. They portrayed Harman and Soumya's chemistry in such an amazing way that HaYaians can't even imagine watching this show without them, and in order to show HaYa I think they NEED to show Soumya as an intersex or else HaYa would be a bit incomplete.
2. There's a cure for intersex so this seems like the best choice.
3. None of the HaYaians are going to watch the show if they get Surbhi and Harman together.
4. Transgenders can never get pregnant or live a normal life. So far this show seems a bit different from other shows so the same old surrogacy stuff or getting married to jiju types stuff would be the same usual repetitive things we normally get to see in other movies, serials.
I'm not saying that they should drop the kinnar wala concept. They could show Soumya as a intersex and still show the lives of kinnars. And i'm definitely not saying that they should hurry things up. The writers should take things slowly. Let Harman slowly fall for Soumya just the way she is.
All I want is NO Surbhi in between our HaYa!
Most of the show's posters has Surbhi in them along with Soumya and Harman. This makes me worried!
If they want to include Surbhi as a main lead just like Soumya and Harman, they still could. Let Surbhi be Soumya's supporter or "shakti" just like Soumya's mom is. But please just don't ruin the show with Surbhi and Harman's jodi. I also don't want any surrogacy stuff like "Chori chori chupke chupke"
I'm pretty sure all of the HaYaians (including me) would most probably quit watching the show without HaYa.
I'm expecting more of a intersex surgery later on. I mean like I said before, they still could show the problems that "kinnars" face with Soumya being a intersex and that Harman will help Soumya get the rights that kinnars normally don't get.
But still I'm expecting some type of cure for Soumya later on just to get our HaYa together for good.
