Vivian Dsena is clear about what he wants from life. He has been part of the entertainment industry for over six years, and feels he has grown as an actor and as a person in this time. Here, the actor talks about pursuing films in the future, dealing with competition and why he isn't active on social media.

Does competition with contemporaries bother you?
I like to compete with myself. I don't consider myself competition for anyone. Everyone is doing a good job; that's why they are where they are. I don't get insecure. If others are doing well, it's because of their destiny and hard work. Feeling jealous doesn't make me a bigger star. All it gives me is resentment, and I don't have time for that. I would rather focus on my work.

How important is it for actors to be active on social media?
I have been told by my fans, family and friends to be more active on social media. I am not. It's not about sharing personal details; I just don't think social media is attractive. I am not that guy. I am too boring a person to be on social media. I hardly go out. The last time I had dinner at a restaurant was three months ago. It gets tough, and I wonder what to write. I don't think so much while acting, but I have to really think before I post something. My wife Vahbiz (Dorabjee; actor) pushes me to tweet or post on Instagram.

You were trying for films. Is that an avenue you want to pursue?
Who wouldn't want to? But I already have a commitment to my TV show. I prefer to focus on one thing. I am bad at multi-tasking, so doing TV and films simultaneously is difficult. I am finicky about characters and sensitive about the storyline. As a professional, you should focus on one thing and give it your best. Otherwise, you might achieve things, but they might not hold much value.

Tell us one thing that people don't know about you.
I never get angry. I get irritated and if it gets too much, I walk out of the room. One needs to hardwire one's brain to control oneself. I know that if I get angry, things will get worse. Things won't be easy to manage, and it will take me a lot of time to come out of the situation.
