He has the reputation of owning' every character he plays on TV. Handsome hunk Vivian Dsena who was last seen on Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 is back with his new fictional show, Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. He plays Harman, a slightly roguish but good-hearted Punjabi munda who comes as a savior in the life of Soumya (Rubina Dilaik). The actor was supposed to be a part of the show since February but confirmation happened much later. The actor had kept mum about his character for a really long time. "See, there was no clarity on the character. I wanted to be very sure that I was not playing a tall, intense and brooding young man.🤣👍🏼 Harman is a normal guy. I wanted people to identify him as the guy next door or one in their locality," says the actor.
If there is one thing Vivian is very particular about, it is doing something new every time. "I don't want to repeat myself. As an actor, I feel it will be cheating the audience/fans if I give them the same character with minor changes every year. I got many supernatural and superstar roles after my previous shows but I wanted to be an average guy this time round. It was a definite thought," he opines.
There is a lot of buzz around the show speculating that it is the first one about the life of a transgender. The makers have termed it as a show with a social message. Was it a huge reason for Vivian to take it up? "Honestly, I am clueless about the social message so far. Even, I don't know what the mystery behind Soumya is and why she is an isolated girl. The creatives and makers will reveal it gradually," he reveals.
Talking about his co-star Rubina Dilaik, he says, "She is a seasoned actor. Very sweet as a person. It is nice to work with someone who has a body of work behind her. Yes, we have developed a friendly bond in a few days." It is not only Vivian but also his wife, Vahbbiz Dorabjee, who is making waves as the cute Maggie on Bahu Humari Rajnikanth.
Is Vivian a fan of the show? "Yes, I have watched it and enjoyed it immensely. It is written by Sonali Jaffer who also wrote Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani. My wife's sets are in Film City while I am in Naigaon. So, we don't get much time to watch TV but I do keep a track," signs off the hottie.
