No star on Mona Singh wedding!

Unlike many others who dream of having Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan dance on their weddings, actress-anchor Mona Singh says she would rather be the star herself on her D-day!

"I wouldn't want any star to come to my wedding and hog the limelight. It will be my day so I would rather have people look at me than be awestruck by a Shah Rukh or any other star!" said Mona.

The "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin" actress is currently hosting Imagine TV's " Shaadi 3 Crore Ki", where a middle class family is given the whopping amount to organise a wedding.

Mona doesn't want a celebrity at her wedding
Host Mona Singh, currently anchoring Imagine's Shaadi 3 Crore Ki, will not invite any film and TV celebrity at her own wedding as she doesn't want the media or her guests to just focus on the celebrities, or ask them for photos. She says that would spoil her big day as she would want all the limelight during her wedding. That's fair!

Thanks dear for d post,i think she is right if any star will perform then will ask for loads of money then the budget of shadi will be more.ha ha ha

I read somewhere that she and Karan Oberoi were in a relationship and thinking to get married. Anyone knows if that is over now and she is single again?

Mona Singh and Karan Oberoi calls off their five-year long relationship ' One more Troubled Relationship.

Seems like 2009 is not a good year for many relationships. And just adding to the list is Mona Singh (aka Jassi of Jassi Jaise Koi Nahin) and Karan Oberoi, who recently ended their five-year old relationship. Though the split came few months back, this was only known to the media few days back. And only friends and relatives knew about their break-up.

The love blossomed during the making of "Jassi Jaise Koi Nahin" in the year 2004. Mona Singh played the title character of Jassi and Karan was one of the lead character, who came into Jassi's life and transferred her from an ugly looking girl to a super model in the serial.

The news has come as a shock to the industry as their relationship was said to be quite committed and there were news of marriage plans in the year 2008. Both refused to comment on the reason, but sources says they found themselves incompatible!

Mona is busy these days with her upcoming movie Rajkumar Hirani's 3-idiots co-starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, while Karan will be seen in a flim Choti Si Baat opposite to model-turned actress Kriti Kulhari.

Thanks, but this is old news. She and Karan Oberoi dated from Mid-2006 to mid-2008 and then broke up. They definitely did not date for 5 years as this article says. After that Mona was reported to be in a relationship with another guy called Akash, but apparently they too have broken up.
