Keerti SS updated scene 3 page 2 Matters of the heart” my take - Page 2

I have written some but I have yet to add some final details to it. I will add very soon,

Scene 3

Everyone was sitting in the living room and enjoying the snacks that were prepared by kusum.

“KT Sa ye aapkay liye special maine banayie hai aap aur lijiye na” said kusum placing 3 more laddus on his plate.

“Aap tho mujhe bilkul mota ker dengi”

“Sa aap tho har haal me rangeelo maro beend.. “ oo “ abh tho rangeelo tharo beend” rahengay said kusum pointing at Preeti who just walked by with tea in her hands.

At this Preeti just glared at kusum and gave a quick glance at KT who’s smile seemed to falter a bit.

“Are rangeela tho main hun hin lekin Preeti ji ki vajay sey abh tho char chand aur lag jayengay” he said smiling widely and looking at Preeti.

Preeti looked back with shock in her eyes and felt her cheeks burnt as everyone started to laugh. Preeti straightened her back and paced quickly towards the kitchen and acknowledged how silly she was feeling. After all she was not an eighteen year old bride but very well into her forties with married kids. How is it even possible for her to feel such things?

She desperately looked around and noticed everyone slightly giggling but happy.

Everyone now decided to move towards the open varanda in the back of the house. It had a nice view of the sky though much of it was obscured by the surrounding buildings.

: chalo yahan chatai bechado aur sabh yahin baithay hain” suggested Priyanka.

‘Chalo chalo , antakshiri khelthay hain” said Astha, Kusum’s middle daughter ‘Nahi di, kuch aur kerthay hain, dumb charades khelthay hain’ suggested choti.

“ ye dumb cha- rats ye kya hotha hai?’ asked kusum.

;ma ye … thu bas khel’ said choti annoyed as she did not want to go in details.

‘Ok girls vs boys’ suggested Neel. But as he looked around he saw there were three men against 6 six women

‘Ok lekin antakshari hi khenlengay’ suggested KT looking at Preeti. Preeti could feel his eyes but decided to ignore him.

“Tu idhar bait’ said kusum grabbing Preeti’s arm and forcefully making her sit beside her.

Juhi, Sumedh, Kajal, and KT teamed up against Kusum, Preeti, Choti and Neel. Priyanka was left. Immediately sat beside Juhi as she saw Neel making space for her.

Tho chalo pehla akshar hai ma

‘Meray Sapno ki rani kab aayegi thu, ayi ruth mastani kabh ayegi thu, beethay jaaye zindagani kab aayegi thu, chali aa thu chali aa’ sang Neel

Are wa Neel cha gaya..

‘Aa ‘ shouted Neel

‘Aaja, Aja .. main hun pyar tera.. Allah Allah.. Inkaar teraa ho .. aaja ..a. Aja ..aa ha aaja’ sang sumedh holding Juhi’s hands and shaking his head with stiff jerks once he reached the ending of the song and in effect shaking Juhi’s entire body.

:sumedh.. Haath chodo’ said Juhi looking annoyed.

Everyone smiled at this.

‘Jaanay jan doondhtha .. fir raha.. Rath din , subhho shaam, main yahan sey waha. Mujhko awaaz do , chup gaye ho kaha? Thu kahan?.. Sang Neel again..

Main yaahan joined in Kajal .. thu kahan .. main yahan ..

Priyanka was annoyed at Kajal’s response

Neel smiled

2 points .. chalo abh aapki turn he pointed to KT

‘Na janay meray .. dil ko kya.. Ho gaya.. ‘ sand KT looking at Preeti.

‘Ho gaya hai mujhko tho pyar sajna’ he said pointing towards Preeti with his eyes.. “Lakh ker le thu inkaar sajna “

He got up trying to enact the scene.. And started moving closer towards Preeti

“ ho gaya hai thujhko tho pyar sajna.. Lakh ker le thu inkaar sajna, hai ye pyar sajna ,, dildar sajna, hai ye pyar sajna’

He said finally sitting on a knee and putting his hands forward.

‘ wah KT sa wah kya acting ki hai’

Kusum started clapping

Preeti jee abh aapki bari .

Are nahi nahi ..

‘Nahi nahi kya.. Said KT

‘Aap meri wife hai.. Filmon kay saat abh tho kuch attachment leker aayiye; he said smiling.

“Main aise hi teekh hun” replied Preethi Meekly.

‘Are aise kaise.. Chaliye utiye’ he said, grabbing her hand . Pretti immediately took her hand away looking at Juhi who was smiling wide.

“ are beti sey kaise sharam Preeti ji’ come on aapko tho pata hai na ki “aap ek superstart ki wife hai’ Ithna tho banta hai’

Preeti immediately gave him a warning look

“ Come on Preeti ji” He said pulling her

Preeti immediately stormed out to the kitchen annoyed at KT’s behavior.

“Ye istarah dikhawa kiyun kerthay hain’ she thought angriliy. ‘Kuch samthay hi nahi- har waqt apni filmi duniya main rehna jaise haqeeqat ke saath koi natha hi na ho’ she thought.

Everyone slowly dispersed after a while. Kusum and her daughters cleaned up the sitting area and. Preeti was busy washing the dishes while KT slowly approached her from the back.

‘Preeti ji’ he whispered in her ear

‘KT jee’! She snapped back shocked.

“Aap mujhsey bhagthi kiyun rehthi hain preeti ji? He asked in a hushed whisper with an urgency in his voice

“Humnay shadi ki hai aur main koshish ker raha hun ki humaray rishtay ko normal banaun, lekin aap hain ki har waqt mujhsey jaise koi dushmani nibha rahi hain’.. he complained.
With each words Preeti felt anger pangs raising in her stomach

“Main KT jee? Main aapko mauka nahi de rahi ya aap. Jo apnay ateeth ko samnay khada kerthay hain’ retorted Preeti

Just then Kusum walked in and both of them went silent. KT angrily stormed off from the kitchen .

Preeti kya kaha tunay KT sa say? Said Kusum

“Kusum .. kuch nahi, bus .. voh

‘Tu baat na badal abh’ she said raising her voice.

“ main tharay ko kaha tha na ki agar KT sa thujhsye naraaj hongay tho main koi na mannay wali’ ‘abh ja aur mana ker aa wapis’

“Kusum..ye kya bachpana hai’ ‘Main kiyun..’ said Preeti irritated

‘Mujhe kuch nahi sunna’ Ja aur bas mana ker aa ‘ pushed Kusum

‘Acha jathi hun’ said Preeti

KT was standing in the balcony alone staring at the buildings as if searching for a piece of sky that could somehow push the clouds into the clear view ..

‘KT je…

KT was silent. He did not turn around

“Kt jee. .I am sorry ki maine aapka agar dil dikhaya tho. Lekin aap please meri bhi halat samajhiye. Jab bhi aap nandani ko , apnay atteeht ko humaray rishtaay main leker aathay hai tho mujhe lagtha hai jaise,.. Jaise kisi ney kuch kadwa sa pila diya hai. Aur mujhe dar sa lagnay laga hai KT ji , ki maine apnay bohot achay dost ko kho diya hai.

Ki kahin is shadi ki wajay sey .. humari zindagi jo bohot sukoon sey guzar rahi thi ,.. Usey tahas mehas ker diya hai.

Aapka mujhsey kehna ki aap mujhsey pyar kerthay hain.. Aur humera kehna.. Aise lagtha hai ki jaise aapnay mujhe thapad mara hai, humaray vishwas ko , humari dosti ko thapad mara hai tho isliye , please … aap please pehlay wali KT ki tarah meray saat rahe.

Mujhe koi aur umeed nahi hai is rishtay se.. Bus mujhe aapki hasi , aapki kushi, aapka voh baat baat per mazak kernay ka andaaz.. Jeevan ko khul ke jeenay ka andaaz voh .. voh chahiye. Main aapko dukhi, aur ghutthay hue nahi de sakthi KT je….

KT turned around and glared into her eyes as if staring at her soul

‘Kiyun? He asked ..

‘Kiyun ka kya matlab hai KT jee..

‘Main aapko Udaas nahi dekh sakthi..bas’

‘Kiyun?

‘Kiyunki aap meray sabh sey achay dost hai aur main nahi chahthi ki meray dost ko kisi bhi tarah ki koi bhi takleef ho’

Preeti looked at KT with tears in her eyes.

“I hate tears ..” said KT with a smile as he wiped her tears off.

Both of them smiled

“Je hui na baat’ said Kusum as she walked in.
