How can you expect Payal to fight for her right...on day one...based on the video Gul showed? She is still in shock...she is yet to experience the KIND OF EXPERIENCE...Gul has. Gul is strong because of her bad experience...now how many years Gul has put in.. as a daughter-in-law...say around 6 years...inspite of so many years and experience she got fooled by her own husband...if the years has not sharpened her so called smartness...she would not have been in jail. She got emotionally fooled. My point is...Payal has still not been shown as sati savitri bahu...arrey yaar...uska pehla din hai. She is educated...she has to act smart after taking that emotional decision...which ofcourse I do feel...wish she didn't. For her TO ACT...she has to understand THE FAMILY well...and we may see many episode ...of her getting trapped with JOG'S mind games. Every step will be a measured step...Office and Home are two different things... ur knowledge and experience helps in making decision ... emotions doesn't get mixed with the decision ...BUT...at HOME...where U live...u need peace and a good enviornment...U cannot make your own HOME - Hell or add coal to fire. As a responsible and educated Bahu...her deep thinking and later her decision to take action.. will work...wait and watch.

Would like to add.. .inspite of Gul's strong/harsh action, words.. against the family they continue to play their games...all she could do is bring in fear...not the change.

Lastly I am not against the title/post but certainly on your thoughts on Payal...the journey of Payal is yet to begin as Daughter in Law.

Well written #Chitsri 👏

good points!!
When I said "sati Savitri bahu, I based it on the fact that even though Payal saw the video and knew the intentions of the family by Gulkand giving her the proofs, She still decided to marry into the family. Why? Where did her educated brain go?, Would you go ahead and marry if you were in payals shoe? probably not. Payal only thought about "sacrificing" aka "sati savitri" for the sake of her parents well being and not being hurt by the samaj and not having to have their daughter's who marriage broke.

As far as Gulkand, yes she has probably become hardened by living with the this crazy family but at least she opens her mouth and tells it like it is.

I certainly hope Payal uses reasoning and not give her paycheck to that family.

Good questions raised

Despite knowing the truth still Payal married Dev,it was her educated brain working only at the moment of decision.Being educated only,Payal was able to reason the things otherwise a normal girl would have just thought about herself.

For Gulkand...one doesnot need to just open his/her mouth but also needs to bring a change. Its like people want to bring some improvement but they just speak,no one really does anything.

Initially, I did think that Gulkand is a strong character. But I'm not sure anymore. Because she did put up with the family and lived there, had kids, etc.. despite knowing about how her brother was forced to give dowry. Even now she does nothing except the constant fighting. She should atleast now, take a stand and maybe walk out of this marriage with her kids. All this constant fighting and throwing taunts at her in-laws isn't the right environment for her kids to grow in. Of course, keeping quiet and enduring injustice isn't the right option either. And seeing how greedy Ayodhya and his parents are, I don't think they will be a good influence on the kids or teach them good values.

To me, Gulkand is fighting a losing battle if she intends to magically change the Prasads using her barbed taunts. And no, even if Gulkand had been the meek and goody-goody type, it would still be unrealistic for the Prasads to get changed by her goodness. But if Gulkand's intention is to get the dowry money back, she should consider using legal help instead.
