Just got caught up with all the episodes this season. Finally had spare time. Was looking for a platform to share some views and Iām glad I found my way here. Anyways first thing first, if not based on a script but just based on pure cooking then Shakeela mam should win CWC S2. I know itās too early to say this but judges comments makes me think she really does phenomenal cooking and more so she does it on regular basis. I would love to taste her cooking one day. However Iām sad she gets less screen space because of her pairing so far. She hardly get paired with a good comali. She only had screen time when Pugazh was her pair.
Vtv already decided who will be the content givers in both comalis and contestants and whom to pair up to increase TRPs. Like how they paired Shivangi with Ashwin. Then paired her with Master after that pair got positive comments. Ashwin with Shivangi first then Sunita for a week to continue content run of having two women vie for his attention. Then with Mani cos Ashwin has this Tom and jerry brother sister vibe with Mani. Even the days he isnāt paired with Shivangi he gets screen space cos of Shivangi. Then we have Pavitra and Darsha who gets to be tossed around Pugazh, Bala and Sarath for content. Now Darsha out so Pugazh main attention on Pavitra. But he did better with Shakeela mam. Kani-Sunita pairing was the only repeated pair for Kani, but really nothing much to write about.
For Master best pair so far is Pugazh, Bala and Shivangi. Especially Shivangi. Their father-daughter chemistry is so so so good. Shivangi actually had such a great chemistry with all of those she been paired so far but really would love to see her work with Shakeela mam and Kani more. The rest of them really didnāt treat her properly. IMO Shivangi is the most helpful and sincere comali there. Eventhough she is naughty and always stuck with Ashwin, she does her work properly as much as she can. They should pair her up with Shakeela mam or Kani so they can make use of her properly and stop her from going to Ashwin often. I think Shivangi and Shakeela mam might have the same vibes as Vanita and Shivangi from S1. And who knows Shivangi may prove to be lucky charm for Shakeela mam also like she was last season.
As for Ashwin-Shivangi pair, I have to admit their chemistry is damn good. He clearly likes being around her. As compared to his behaviour towards Sunita for an instance, he doesnāt get angry with her and treats her like a kid. But itās also unfair to Ashwin as he hardly gets to have real content for cooking besides being tossed around as trophy boy for Shivangi and Sunita. The guy can cook and infact many times I felt his potential didnāt come out well. Also if they wanted to have a love pairing this season besides Pugazh and beautiful girls, then they could have just kept it with Shivangi. There wasnāt a need to bring in Sunita. Just hope they keep both Shivangi and Sunita away from Ashwin for now and let the poor guy do what he came for instead.
Mani as usual mokka piece (sorry if offending, itās just for the lack of a better word). She is kinda rude sometimes but I know people will mistake it as she is quite comfortable with the people on the sets. Like she is close to Shivangi irl so she takes the liberty to go overboard to scold Shivangi at times. But itās not fair to Shivangi. The times she tries to steal screen space is unnatural so Iām not really fond. Pugazh was the lifeline of this show, still is, but has to stop running after Pavitra. Itās stale now! Pair him with Kani then. Same goes to Bala. Reduce the mokka jokes and focus on helping the cooks instead. Want to see him work with Ashwin.
As for the rest, simple I hardly see them. My attention donāt go to them. My fav comali is def Shivangi, Pugazh and Bala. Just keep these three till finale. And fav cooks def Shakeela mam, Ashwin and Master. I think I ranted a lot about the show. Iāll post again if I think more.
ETA : I forgot to say about Deepa Akka. She is a genuine good soul and eventhough she canāt cook properly but she is natural and deserve screen space. Also I lowkey think she doesnāt like Shivangi pair with Ashwin and rather would let Sunita pair up with Ashwin instead. If you have watched a few episodes you would have noticed that. It maybe due to her own concern for Shivangi and doesnāt want her to damage her reputation. Whatever it was, I also lowkey liked when Deepa Akka said to Ashwin to say no to Shivangi he said for what and shut her up.
Also Iām not exactly fond of mokka jokes. So some of it make me cringe. Only two people who donāt make me feel cringey. One is Shivangi and the other is Pugazh. Thatās why Iām glad they donāt keep mokkai Comalis in and also hope they stop bringing in Madurai Muthu. No offence again he is sweet and all but i lowkey donāt like his jokes.
Last but not the least; chefs and Rakshan really big assets to this show. Thank god they didnāt bring in Nisha again and retained Rakshan this season. He is good alone! Chefs I donāt have to say more. I love how they are so deeply mingled with contestants and comalis, especially comalis that they start making their own mokka and kadi jokes. Loved both SK and RKB special appearance. Looking forward to more episodes!
