VISHNU IS MY ONLY FRIEND IN T'WOOD
Hansika Motwani and Vishnu Manchu, who are set to pair up again for Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda, get candid in a chat with Hyderabad Times

Your last outing together, Denikaina Ready, was a hit and now you have paired up again for Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda...
Hansika: Who wouldn't want to share screen space with a legend like Mohan Babu? It's a big privilege. I took up this project because Vishnu is my best buddy. In fact, he's the only friend I have in Tollywood. After Denikaina... we are so comfortable with each other that I had no reason to say no to this film. And then there's Raveena Tandon, with whom I worked after a long time.
Vishnu: We have been good friends for the last two-and-a-half years. We are so comfortable with each other that we also did a few scenes and dialogues on our own. I was under a lot of pressure donning the role of producer and actor. So we were looking for somebody who's easy to work with. Hansika was the only one I could think of.
Hansika, you're doing a multi-starrer for the first time in Tollywood. ..
Hansika: Although it's a multi-starrer, it's not like a Bollywood film where only one person hogs all the screen time. In this film, each character is important. Everyone shares equal screen space.
Vishnu: Well, this is Hansika's first multi-starrer and she has a very important role. In fact, the whole story revolves around her character.
How was it working with Mohan Babu?
Hansika: More than anything else, he's like a buddy and it was great to work with him. Initially when I called him uncle, he was like Uncle? Call me babu or stud' (laughs). He's looking amazing in the film!
Vishnu: I've worked with my father earlier as well, but this is for the first time I'll be sharing scenes with him. It was a learning experience for me and to be frank, I was very nervous all through the shooting.
What's your role like?
Hansika: I play a tomboy who is Vishnu's love interest. It wasn't difficult to play a tomboy on screen, because I'm like that in real life. Vishnu: Although I'm a peace loving guy in real life, in this movie, I'm playing an angry man who's very tough to handle. Being in the same frame as dad, Manoj and Varun (Sandesh), made me aware of my limitations. I'm happy with the way my role has shaped up.
Vishnu, we hear your twin daughters Ariaana and Viviana will be seen in a cameo in the film?
Vishnu: Well, they are there for one sequence. In fact, they were there in Denikiana... and the movie did well. So, I consider my girls my lucky charm. I hope this film, which is produced under 24 Frames Factory and is releasing on January 31, does well too.
