Music. Be it Sa Re Ga Ma or Do re Mi Fa ,Music is the universal language that everyone understands and can relate to. Music is what brings everything together. It is something that everyone knows.

Music is science. It is exact and demands acoustics. The conductor's score is a graph that contains volume changes, melody and harmony, all the while keeping the group at a constant pace.

Music is history. The music you hear or play is usually an indication of the time and environment in which it was created.

But most of all, music is art. It is the greatest form of art that allows a human to take boring notes on a page, and transform them into an emotion and feeling you cannot measure.

It is pure magic. It is a wonderful gift to humanity. Music moves us, and soothes us. It makes us want to dance or sing. It makes us feel happy or sad, inspired or uplifted. It affects our mood in all kinds of infinite ways.

It is said to be "A human creation from a divine source"

South India is a land where Music is given utmost importance. Music is a very important aspect of the culture of the Tamil people. This Music is a heady cocktail of purity, emotions and divinity. Carnatic Music, which is the classical music form of Southern India, has a long history in Tamil Nadu. Also,if you want to hear 'Why this Kolaveri Di which is crooned by youngsters so often or the latest number Nenje Yezhu from National Award winner Dhanush's Maryaan,this is the place to be😎

Karnataka is the only south Indian state(dravidian state)where both Hindustani and Carnatic singers flourish. North Karnataka is predominantly famous for Hindustani music and South Karnataka is well known for Carnatic music. Karnataka has achieved a prominent place in the world of Hindustani music as well !

Kerala is musically known for Sopanam. Sopana Sangeetham is a form of classical music originated in temples of Kerala. Sopanam ,as the very name suggests, is sung by the side of the holy steps (sopanam) leading to the sanctum sanctorum of a shrine. Moreover,this is where Music prodigies like K.J Yesudas,Sujatha Mohan,K.S. Chithra belong to,who have given a whole new definition to Music 😎

Andhra Pradesh also has deep roots in music. Popular film numbers like Ringa Ringa or Nijanga Nenena have been belted out by popular Telugu singers and Music directors!😎

Hence,if you want to sit down,tired after a long day ,just load your MP3 or Ipod player with all these hit songs and be transported to another world ,coz' Music has the ability to "heal the soul"
