O river, river, river of Love

You are like woman too, aren't you?

There are one, two even a hundred reasons

And if you will listen, I'll tell you them

You walk and become the river

You rise and become the waterfall

You stand still and become the sea

Similarly a girl becomes a woman

She marries and becomes a wife

Has a child and becomes a mother

These riverbanks are brushed by water

And bubbles touch those riverbanks

In those bubbles, I see her face

The river splashes against its banks as if singing

The rivers Gangai, Yamunai and Vairai will all come

While dancing to the steps

When you separated from a lover, you will realize of her importance

Just as you miss water in the hot summers

She can freeze in shyness

And can be as fragile as a bubble

Even her scent resembles that of water

Our lives begin in the water (womb)

Just as they will end by the water

Both the colourful girl and the circling water

Your shapes are both beautiful

A soft, pleasant nature, masking the roughness around you

These are a river's characteristics

But they are also a woman's characteristics

The water in a fruit is juice, in a flower it is nectar

And in a cow, it is milk

Similarly, a woman in a family is a daughter, in marriage a wife

And for her child, a mother

Hear me, my dear birds, these are the forms of rivers and woman

And if the river, or a woman, become determined

There's nothing can stay in their way !!!!

Just like different colours make up the prism ,similarly many unique facets make up a woman...So proud to be a woman...was a tomboy growing up ...now realising more and more that the richness and the uniqueness of beauty is found in a woman..The resilience and the fortitude with which a woman faces life is matchless...A woman mostly an epitome of grace and gentleness can turn herself into a roaring lioness if her loved ones are in trouble...Centuries of suppression has not dampened the indefatigable energy of a woman...She rises up everyday to meet a challenge...She's a mystery ...Her inward beauty mesmerises and charms the people in her path...She's the glue in the family home . Her beauty , fortitude ,strength have been the subject of many poems, stories etc Women feel deeply and it's their emotions that make them unique.I owe a great deal to many women who have shaped my personality..Today I want to honour them for the rich heritage they have imparted ..a special thanks to my super duper Mom ...She made me the woman I'm today👏Hats off to u Mummy , friends and others for the wealth I have in my life.
