RP Patnaik tasted critical acclaim with his first two directorial ventures "Andamaina Mansaulo" and "Broker", however BO success proved to be elusive. He is confident of breaking the jinx with his latest flick, titled "Facebook". "I stumbled upon a webpage of a popular social networking site one day and it inspired me to make this film. It's a slice of life movie that seeks to make sense of the phenomenon of social networking. Most techsavvy youngsters who frequent various social networking sites will connect with the story," says RP Patnaik who is confident that he will be third time lucky. Nischay, Uday, Surya, Gemini Suresh, Archana Sharma and Preethi Pradhan are playing the lead roles in this flick, which is releasing simultaneously in Tamil as well.
RP Patnaik is also composing the music for this movie. The composer -turned -directors says that direction is what excites him more these days. "I am afraid I hit my musical peak a while ago and have exploited my musical talents to the hilt. But filmmaking offers me the scope to go further, which is why I've taken to it," he says signing off.
