Silambarasan's dad and producer-director-actor T Rajendar has bagged the rights of Osthi. He will distribute the film in entire Tamil Nadu including Chennai. Interestingly, T Rajendar will also distribute Osthi in Kerala and Karnataka areas.

He has procured the distribution rights in the name of Kural TV, which is owned by STR family. Osthi is a remake of the Hindi film Dabangg which has Richa as STR's leading lady and is directed by Dharani. Thaman has scored the music for the film.

Looking forward to Osthi... the dialoges in the trailers seem to catch ones attention 🤣... already got a few saying it out in public here 🤣
