Ok frnds. Time to kick some A** and get rid of Ranjeet.
It was New Year Eve. Preeto could not forget RB's words. Infact RB, his grief, his hurt and his words had been haunting her for the past 2 days. She, who had promised to love him, had not only failed to keep her promise but was also the cause of his pain and grief. Was there ever any forgiveness for her? Even Babaji would be unable to give her that but there was still something she could do for her RB, her love. She would help in every way to get rid of the thorn in his happiness – Ranjeet. RB had told her to keep quiet and not confront anyone until he said so and this time she would do all that he said.
Meetadi comes to the room.
Meeta to Preeto – 'Kya soch rahi hai? Chal aaj se mein teri cooking ki training shuru kar rahi hoon.'
Preeto (Mutters to self) – 'Yahan khud ki sudh nahin hai aur Meeta di ko abhi shuru karni hai meri cooking classes. Pata nahin aaj kya hoga. Fire brigade aayegi ya Ambulance. Babaji sambhal lena haan.'
Both go to the kitchen and Meeta tells Preeto that they were going to make Aloo-Ghobhi ki sabzi and she tells Preeto to cut the vegetables.
Preeto – 'Yeh to mein kar sakti hoon di. Sabzi kaatna toh aata hai.'
Meeta – 'Sabzi banana ke liye use kaatna zaroori hai. Pehle yeh kar phir bataati hoon aage kya karna hai.'
Both continue with the lessons and with a lot of chatter Preeto makes the sabzi and dal – chawal and does not even realize that she has successfully completed her first stint in the kitchen.
Meeta di –'Ab yeh itna mushkil toh nahin tha Preeto. Dekh tone aaj ka khana khud hi banaa liya.'
Beeji getting the fragrance of the meal comes to the kitchen and sees Meeta and Preeto.
Beeji – 'Kya chal raha behnon mein?'
Meeta – 'Beeji khana chakh ke batao kaisa hai?'
Beeji tastes the food and says as usual u have made everything perfect Meeta.
Meeta – 'Aaj meine nahin banaaya hai Beeji. Aaj toh Preeto ne banaaya hai. Mein toh use bata rahi thi ki kaise banana hai.'
Beeji gets emotional and the three hug each other and praise both Preeto and Meeta.
The day is a happy one in the Dhillon house as all share Preeto's first success in the kitchen and Preeto and Sonu start teasing Meeta di that it seems Babaji will be arranging a match for her as He has now given Preeto also Meeta di's ability to cook good food.
The family retires for the night with Preeto feeling sad that RB was not there with them that day. She remembered his sms that he ould be in Chandigarh for some personal work on Saturday and Sunday and will be back on Monday at the base. The next day was the 1st Jan, a New Year, and a time for new beginnings. Preeto paced around restlessly and sat in front of the mirror. Looking at her reflection she made her New Year promise – She would never ever doubt RB again and decided that whatever the future brought, from now on his happiness would be as important to her as the dreams of her sisters.
It was 2 days since Preeto di had made her first meal and 2 days Meeta di had taught her so much that now Preeto di could handle the basic cooking herself thought Baani. She had always felt that the whole family gave Preeto di unnecessary bhaav and no importance was given to her. This had always been a thorn in her side. Now with Preeto di taking over Ishu di's job at home she, Baani was completely forgotten. She hated it and she hated Preeto di.
Baani goes to the Terrace where Ranjeet also comes and sees that Baani is agitated.
Ranjeet – 'Kya hua Baani? Tum itne gusse mein kyon ho?'
Baani – 'Jab ghar me sab log hamesha tumhe tumhari behen se compare kiya Karen aur har baar yeh mehsoos dilayen tumme kitni kamiyan hain toh gussa nahin aayega. I hate Preeto di. Sabh samajhte hain ki wohi sabse achhi hain aur meri koi nahin sochta.'
Ranjeet thinks this is the right time to get Baani to do something that would shame her family. He tells her that he will take her to the pub that night and they will dance away her sorrows.
Preeto overhears this conversation. She had seen Ranjeet move to the terrace where Baani had gone and had followed them. She is stunned by the anger in Baani towards her.
Preeto (to self) – 'Meine toh hamesha yeh chaha tha ki yeh sab khush rahen aur inke sapne sabhi poore hon. Kya yehi meri galti hai ki meine sabka socha?'
Then she remembers the talk of Baani and Ranjeet going to the pub that night. She decides to sms this info to RB.
RB is sitting in front of Preeto's painting lost in thought. It is 10.00 pm when he slowly rouses himself up and picks up his phone.
He sees the message icon and mutters – 'Itne saare messages. Zaroor yeh Simi phir koi bachkani harkat karne par hai.'
And in frustration starts pressing delete without checking sender name. As the messages get deleted another one pops up and this time in anger he opens msg to read and sees it is from Preeto asking him to read the earlier msg.
RB – 'What earlier msg?' (and then realizes that the msgs he had deleted were from Preeto.)
RB calls Preeto and Preeto seeing that it is RB immediately answers –
Preeto – 'Aapne mere msgs padhe?'
RB – 'Nahin. Kuch important tha?'
Preeto – 'Haan Baani aur Ranjeet aaj phir der raat pub jaane ka plan bana rahe hain. Samajh nahin aa raha kya karoon?'
RB – 'kuch mat karo bas jab who ghar se baahar niklen toh mujhe call karna mein tumhaare ghar ke baahar hi rahoonga.'
Both decide that they will catch these two red handed and then get Ranjeet's malicious intentions out before Beeji-Papaji.
When Baani and Ranjeet leave by the back door they are stunned to see RB outside.
RB – 'Kahin jaa rahe ho?'
The two immediately turn to go back in and find Preeto standing there. She lets them in and calls for Beeji and Papaji. As the whole family gets together RB and Preeto reveal the truth of Ranjeet's intentions. Seeing his plans coming undone in front of him Ranjeet becomes vicious and threatens RB dire consequnces. RB tells him to do his worst and throws him bag and baggage out of the house. It is moment of bitter truth for Beeji-Papaji who realize that one of their own had tried to harm the one person who had loved them all without expecting anything in return. RB realizing their situation does not enter the house but tells Preeto who is at the doorstep to lock all doors and take care of her parents as they must be feeling very dejected and leaves for the base. As he goes Preeto tells him to take care and drive safely. RB looks at her and gives a wry smile.
So here we get rid of Ranhaar my friends and as per my calculations this would be Mid Jan by the time it happens on the serial though how is anybody's guess.
Shaayad hamaari Lohri achhi ban jaaye par serial mein Lohri iske agle hafte hi aayegi. And will come another cute FF, which will have Pankeeta moments and the buildup for the Valentine's Day of Rajpreet. Ab jab pyaar gehra ho raha hai toh Valentine gift bhi kuch bada hona banta hai.
