Short
Rajbeer takes Preeto his grandmum's old shop, so that Preeto can open her own boutique there. Preeto tells him that their realtionship has to end there, as she has alot of resposibilites towards her family.
Detailed
Preeto notices Ishu and Meeta are quite upset about yesterday, and decide to lighten the mood. She tries to cheer them up by reminding them it's Diwali today, and how they should celebrate it. Meeta and Ishu try to tell her that maybe they shouldn't celebrate too much this year after what happened to their father. Preeto explains how he wants to see all of them happy, and that's why they should celebrate Diwali to make him happy. Preeto takes her tiffin and leaves.
She goes outside to see Rajbeer waiting for her. He talks very casually to her but notices that Preeto's not being herself. He asks her if there's anything wrong, and if she's feeling okay. She tells him everything's fine. He then tells her he has a surprise for her and to go with him. She tries to say that she should go to the base camp as she didn't go there yesterday and took a half day's leave the day before, but he assures her she'll reach on time. She further tries to tell him she doesn't feel like being surprised and has to talk to him about something, but he pulls her along.
While they're in the car, Rajbeer again asks her why she's looking so lost. She tells him she didn't sleep that well. He adds that she probably didn't have breakfast either, as he's seen in movies that people in love tend to forget those stuff. He tells her he slept really well last night though, he didn't feel any burden or his past hovering over him. He thanks her for that.
He takes her to a market and shows her an old closed shop building. He tells her the place's very close to his heart as he used to come there with his grandmum when he was younger. After his grandparents got married his grandmum used to sell pickles etc at that very place as their financial condition wasn't that well. Even after his grandfather started earning pretty well in his business, his grandmum kept the shop open and running till she died. How could she close a place that opened so many paths in her life? Preeto agrees that a person should never quit working. Preeto suggests they leave so that she doesn't get late. Rajbeer tells her she still needs to see her surprise and takes her inside the shop. He tells her that with a little renovation the shop could do really well as it's location's good too. He tells her that he wants to fulfill every dream she has, and therefor wants her to open her own boutique using that place. He goes around the shop and tells her where they'll place everything. She tells him not to show her that big dreams as she's still paying for the dream she saw with him the day before. She gets teary eyed, and tells Rajbeer what happened to her dad. Rajbeer asks how her dad is now, and she tells him he's fine, but she's been feeling really bad for not being there for them when they needed her, for having failed and fallen in her own eyes.
Rajbeer tries to comfort her and tells her that nothing like that will happen again, they'll take care of him together. Preeto tells him that their relationship ends at that very point. She loves him alot but she won't be able to fulfill the dreams he's seen with her as she has to think of her family first. (I agree she's upset that she lost focus the day before, but how is this gonna help? Does she think she'll keep getting distracted from being there for her family if she's with Rajbeer? They don't have to be out dancing in the rain 24/7, but she can still stick to him can't she? 🤔 What with the promises she made about never leaving his side just the day before?) She can't afford to forget her responsibilites, her family and their happiness again. They're the most important to her, and she would even choose them over her love. (Girl, who tells you to choose? Does Rajbeer necessarily have to be a distraction, can't he be a helping hand?) Preeto tells him that maybe they weren't meant to be together for a longer time. He doesn't believe her, and she asks him what he would do if he was her? Rajbeer's on the verge of getting tears in his eyes and says that if he was her he would never joke about anything like that. She tells him she's serious, and starts mentioning all the things she has to take care of before she can think of herself (Meeta's marriage, Bani and Sonu's education, her dad's health etc). Rajbeer tries to tell her tha she's not alone and that he'll support her each time, but she replies that she doesn't want to burden him with any of her problems. Rajbeer asks her if she can take him out of her world? And if she doesn't want to include him in her problems, then atleast he's allowed to wait? Preeto asks her how long he'll keep waiting, as she doesn't know how much time she'll take. He says he doesn't care, but she says she does. She doesn't want his life to be ruined when he's just started to live again. (ehh, didn't you both call you his life yesterday? 🤔 She really doesn't see that if he's started looking ahead in life again it's because and for her?) She tells him to forget her just like he has forgotten his past, and thanks him for the moments spent with him and apologizes for the decision she has taken. She tells him she loves him, but can't express it, she'll keep loving him for the rest of her life, but she can't give the rest of her life to him.
She turns to leave but Rajbeer grabs her hand. He tells her that she very easily told him that he's no longer a part of her life, but forgot to tell him how to live without her in his life? You remember your resposibilites but how can you forget the moments we've spent together that I'll never forget? You've thought me how to love, but not how to forget that love. He asks her why she changed him if she had to do this? I kept running away from love till now and blamed my past, but now I'm mad at myself for allowing anyone to come this close to me. Why did I let myself see dreams throug the eyes of someone else? The world and the people in it went back to being exactly as they were before. He tells her to leave. She tells him to understand her, and he says he understands her and his destiny perfectly well. He tells her he'll manage and that she should leave to make it to work in time. She asks him if they can still be friends? (*bangs head to a wall* REALLY?! Either you go away from him for real, or you include him in your life. You can't have him hanging there. And what's the point in being his friend? Won't that just make things as complicated or worse (considering they've already been a couple then)?!) Rajbeer asks her if they'll be able to be friends. Preeto says they'll try and they will succeed. Becasue her family can't find out about them. (she thinks about her family. Who's she kidding? She's being egoistic. Read explanation later on :P) Rajbeer goes along with it, and tells her he'll talk to Dhruv about it too. And Preeto will explain it to Ishu. Both look at eachother for a while. Before leaving the place Rajbeer tells Preeto that his eyes never saw any dreams or tears, but beacuse of her he's experienced both.
Why I think Preeto's wrong
1) She's being egoistic. She's not kicking him out of her life for the benefit of her family (they don't even know about them, and even if the did - they happen to like him!). She's kicking him out cause of her own insecurities. She thinks she won't be able to focus on her responsibilites if he's around, ie she's weak.
2) But we'll always be friends :D Yea, and pigs fly. Seriously, I don't see how this will help anyone? :/
3) She took a decision for both of them. His opinion wasn't of any importance, cause this was about HER life and HER family.
4) After showing him a whole different world and making promises about something very different just the day before, she decides to go back on her words. When he very specifically asked her if she would be with him for the next 7 lives, she clearly promised to be by his side for the rest of this life. How long did that last? A few hours.
5) Anything else?
PS: Rajbeer could have tries to figure out why she was behaving differently a little better too. But that doesn't justify her childish behaviour - she had made up her mind regardless of what he had to say.
