Beeji forgives Rajbeer and Rajbeer and Preeto are back to bickering. Beeji goes to meet Neelam to clarify the misunderstanding about her not wanting Ishu as DIL. Neelam assures her she'll keep her happy.
Long
Rajbeer's on his knees asking for forgivness from Beeji. Beeji tells Dhruv that there's happiness in the house after such a long time and she doesn't want anyone upsettting someone, and tells him to tell Rajbeer to leave. Dhruv tries to say something in Rajbeer's defense, but Rajbeer stops him saying that they won't believe my words when they didn't believe me. Dhruv tells him that they have to know the truth, and tells the family that whatever Rajbeer said was true. Beeji worries that Neelam doesn't want Ishu as her DIL, but Dhruv assures her that he'll support Ishu no matter what, and that his mother's infact very happy! His parents are happy cause he's happy.
Preeto asks Beeji to forgive Rajbeer now too, and Beeji tells Meeta to bring roti. Rajbeer's returned home after so long, so she'll feed him herself :) He seeks her blessings, and she pulls his ear saying she always wanted to do that while asking him why he behaved like he did, but she always knew he would a valid reason. He has tears in his eyes.
Rajbeer congratulates Dhruv on becoming the son in law of such a great family. Dhruv tells him he could have an equally good kismat. Rajbeer notices Preeto overhearing that and shyly smiling, and says he's better the way he is, as while looking for his good kismat, he might just get a bundle of problems around his neck. Preeto's smile instantly turn into anger. Both Dhruv and Rajbeer get ready to leave as it's quite late.
Rajbeer says 'see you tomorrow' while walking past Preeto.
Preeto: afsoos
Rajbeer (turns around): of course ya afsoos? Of course kehna chahti ho na?
Preeto (smiling): afsoos
Rajbeer: afsoos kyun?
Preeto (circling his face): kyun ki yeh chehra mujhe kal bhi dekhna padega, iss liye.
Rajbeer (circkling his own face): kya problem hai iss chehre mein?
Preeto: bahut lambi list hai. Fursat se bataongi.
Rajbeer: tum na, jab dekho jaghda hi karti ho!
Gagandeep: jaane do beta, yeh to bachpan se hi ladako hai!
Preeto: papaji, mein ladako?
etc etc
Preeto walks around in her room in anger at the fact that he called her 'aafat' (problem). Sonu comes in and asks her if she can ask Rajbeer to tutor her again, now that everything's ok. Preeto says no, and that she'll tutor her herself. Sonu says she'll read on her own then! Preeto asks her if she thinks she won't be able to teach her anything. Sonu says she knows she can, but if she fails ehr exams, it'll be 'aafat' (problem). Preeto picks up a pillow and runs after her. Beeji asks why they're making so much noise, and Sonu says nothing happened, Preeto di ne ghar pe aafat
macha rakhi hai! 😆 Preeto tells herself to tell Rajbeer what aafat really is.
The next day Rajbeer's all lost in his thoughts when Preeto walks in. She tries waving her hand infront of him, but he doesn't react. When he does, she tells him she wants to talk to him alone. He says he's very busy. She tells him she'll stand there until he listens to her. They go the store room (why go there when they were alone in the room they were in first?). Preeto reminds him what he called her the day before - aafat. They have a simple little banter about the whole thing, in which Rajbeer asks her what she felt bad about - that he called her an aafat or that he doesn't want to get involved with an aafat. She replies both. He asks her why he would want to hug her (gale lagana instead of gale padna) when she's troubled him so much. Aakhir hum apke hai kaun? You're just the sister of Ishmeet and the daughter of my sweet aunty, samji miss Manpreet Singh Dhillon?! (she's named Manpreet KAUR Dhillon!) He leaves thinking he'll give her a taste of her own medicine after everything she did to him the last days. Back in the room, Rajbeer pretends to be really busy reading files, and Preeto continues sewing..
Beeji worries about the news of Neelam not initially wanting Ishu as her DIL. Meeta tries to console her by saying that after marriage Ishu will go to her husband's home, and all her happiness and sorrows will be connected to him, and Dhruv will always keep her happy. And no mother in law really likes her DIL. Meeta tells her to talk to Neelam face to face if it's troubling her so much.. Beeji agrees she should to feel better.
Preeto tries talking to Rajbeer, and he react the exact same way as Preeto did. She tries remembering him he's already forgiven her, but he continues the act. She apologizes like a child for everything she's done and everything she will do in the future. She goes on talking and talking, which eventualy goes from being sugar coated to screaming. Rajbeer asks maafi mang rahi ho ya deh rahi ho? Preeto again becomes very sweet saying sorry again. Rajbeer tells her to go and do her job so that they don't have to hear the senior officer yell at them again.
Beeji goes to meet Neelam. She talks about the difference in their position and how they haven't had the opportunity to give their children the same facilities as them, but they've always teached them to respect others etc. They're very lucky to get a son like Dhruv, but asks her if she's happy with the alliance. Neelam says she'll keep Ishu very happy. Beeji gets a little satisfied and leaves.
Preeto gives Rajbeer a letter, but he refuses to read it or listen to her. He tears it and is about to throw it on her face, but stops..
My views
It's nice to see the show picking up once again.. The track seem to be flowing fine after a little halt the last few episodes. :)
Now that the matter of Neelam not approving the rishta has become so public, I wonder if she'll change her plan? Dhruv has to become a little suspicious if the wedding's suddenly called off? 🤔
Word of the day has to be aafat :P Preeto automatically took it to mean her, and both didn't even react to why she think it was meant for her.. The best part has to be the scene between Preeto and Sonu though - simple yet adorable! Isn't that how sisters are? :)
