Preeto and Meeta bring Ishu down. Both Neelam and Rai like Ishu immediately, and commend Dhruv on their choice. Gagan returns home and Pankaj informs him that Dhruv's parents are here. They all talk and Neelam gives kangans to Ishu, as a sign of acceptance. Gagan says that they have accepted their daughter and tries to tell Neelam and Rai about his work, but Rai cuts him off and tells him that Dhruv explained everything to them. They say it's not a problem and as long as the person has honest intentions and a good heart. That is more than enough for them. Preeto notes that Neelam and Rai call each other by names when her own parents never do.
Preeto hugs Meeta when the alliance is fixed and Rajbeer extends his congrats. Dharam tells them to serve some sweets and Meeta says she will serve Kulfi to all. Later as Preeto is putting the Kulfi away, Rajbeer tells her that what she hoped for worked out as Dhruv and Ishu will be married. Preeto congrats him as well, then asks him what his plan is. He says he's planning n heading home from here. Preeto shakes her head and asks about his plans of marriage. She says his friend Jogi is already married and Dhruv is about to get married soon. She asks him what his plans in marriage are, if she should find him a girl like him or if he already has someone in his sights. Rajbeer says he doesn't have anyone, and he has no intention of marriage.
Preeto asks him if it is something or someone from his past that keeps him from thinking of marriage. Rajbeer says it's something like that. Preeto thinking that Rajbeer is indicating towards a past girlfriend asks Rajbeer if he has a photo of the person. Rajbeer looks confused and says he doesn't. Preeto tells him that he might have it at home and tells him to take it and tear it and burn it and then move on. Rajbeer tells Preeto that she watches a lot movies.
Preeto says she does but she says that sometimes the past keeps the person from enjoying their future. She says a person can live life holding on to their past but they aren't really living. Rajbeer listens and Preeto tells him that once he sets his past behind he will be free from whatever that holds him down from his future. Rajbeer mulls over Preeto's words.
Neelam and Rai ask Kanwal and Gagan when they would like to fix the dates, and Kanwal and Gagan respond that when ever they feel is right. Neelam says that she'd like to welcome them to their home first because she has arranged a small gathering of family and close friends. Kanwal and Gagan agree to come with their family. Rai extends the invitation to Dharam as well and then they excuse themselves and say that they will take their leave. All get up except for Dhruv and Ishu. Rai asks his son if he plans on staying here only. All laugh as Dhruv rises.
They all bid farewell to each other and the rest head in. Meeta stands by the door emotional, and Pankaj stays back noticing Meeta. He asks her why she's sad when Ishu's relation just got fixed. Meeta says she's sad thinking that Ishu will soon leave. Pankaj consoles her and then tells her he's got good news and that he will soon have a good job in the bank if all goes well. Meeta is happy for him that he's going to be set in life as well and tells him that he should probably ask his mom to find him a girl. Pankaj tells Meeta that he already found himself a girl. Meeta is surprised and scold Pankaj for not telling her. She asks who it is but Pankaj tells her that once he's settled in his job he will tell her and everyone else. He then tells her that he's going to leave.
Meeta bids him farewell then as she watches him leave she tells herself that one day all will be gone and she'll be the only one left behind.
Rajbeer is thinking about his past, and him being ill-treated and ignored by his parents. He remembers Preeto's words and takes out his mother's photo and burns it as he tells the photo that he wants to move on from his past. He says he knows Preeto is right and he wants to believe in a future of his own dreams not one shadowed by his past. Tears escape his eyes as he watches the photo burn and he is relieved after he throws the photo, and thanks Preeto and says that he's following her advice and looking toward the future now.
He then wonders why he finds himself listening to Preeto and wonders about the hold she has on him. He finds himself questioning why they are thrown together when he keeps distancing himself from her. He then remembers all the moments spent with Preeto most of them fighting with her. He smiles as he contemplates and decides to call her. Then wonders what he'd say to her. Then thinking he can thank her tries again, but then realizing it might be late puts the phone down again. He decides that it might not be too late and places the call but hangs up after a few rings thinking that it might be late and Preeto might get annoyed and yell at him. He frowns.
