though the story might be different, there were similarities between the show and those two movies.
mahadeera - the same way the hero dies and falls off the cliff.
arunadathi - the same way the villain could not be killed but contained by god's power and his vengeance to come back

Naina 🤗 Its so good to see you again. Its been awhile. Hope you're ok. 😊

It was definitely a very captivating episode and Ridhi was just fantastic once again. Just proves how good an actress she is.

I havent seen any of the movies mentioned but at the end of the day they were 3 hour films and this is a fantasy TV show. All i can say is there will be differences along with similarities.

But yes i was reminded of Arundhati (A Lot) while watching the first epi. be it bloodied weapons (incidently with her own blood), the obsession of the villian, the protective sister (in the movie it was the mother who wants to resurrect her son) and the warrior princess. and yes.. body parts buried in scared places.

and yes cliff scene sorta magadheera kind.
from promos i thought it will go dangerous ishq way.. but it indeed has arundhati vibes.😊

even i also found similarity with ghost whisperer ..but that show was very touchy..not at all scary..

there was a show named anhoniyo k andhera as hindi version of ghost whisperer but ekta maiya spoil it..with idiotic stories

but savitri is scary really scary but full of fantasy at a time

the similarities are in the fact that the characters were royal in thier past briths-(the girl being a princess) and are reborn again with a promise to reunite

that is where the similarities start and end
this story is super natural and has lots of fantasy fiction in it-so i dont think they are on the same lines

i too got the same vibes, Naina 😳😆
Yes.. i have seen both telegu movies .. Magadheera & Arundathi.. n seeing this show's 1st and 2nd epi .. prince & princess thingy .. them dying , reborn , with powers , promise , etc.. reminded me of both these telegu mythological movies 😛
