Notch up one more for brand Aamir
Aamir Khan
There is good news for all 'Satyamev Jayate' fans. The makers have decided to go for a second season though the TRPs haven't exactly been high compared to the rest of the shows anchored by film stars.
The show, hosted by Aamir Khan has won a massive fan following thanks to the issues featured that included female foeticide, child abuse, untouchability etc. A leading newspaper reports that Uday Shankar, CEO, Star India, has confirmed about the second season. "The intent of the show was to use the power and platform of television to drive change. This show has disrupted every convention of programming, format, delivery and marketing. It is a testimony to the power of innovation to challenge convention and rewrite the rules of the game. But, the real impact of the show is in the awareness it has created and the lives it has changed. We are keen to take this show forward," he has been quoted as saying.
Aamir's television journey, which began on May 6, ended yesterday with a special episode that promises to change your perceptions of common issues plaguing the society.
Though the show has been criticized in some quarters for being too preachy, there is overwhelming support for it among the masses.
