Karuna Verma to enter Colors' Sasural Simar Ka

Colors' Sasural Simar Ka (Rashmi Sharma Productions) recently witnessed the entry of Dr. Anurag Arora (Aniruddh Singh) and now it's time for his modern mother Shanti Arora's entry.

The character of Shanti Arora will be essayed by Karuna Verma, earlier seen in shows like Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Chhal - Sheh aur Maat.

Shanti will completely support and understand her son. However, like any other mother she would want her son to find a suitable bride. Hence, she will be seen hunting for a suitable match.

She will be the perfect blend of a modern and conservative woman.

Confirming her entry Karuna Verma says, "Yes, I have taken up the role of Shanti Arora on Sasural Simar Ka. The character seemed very interesting and fits the bill perfectly for me. It is partly inspired from Ratna Pathak Shah's character in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na."
