Dheeraj replaces Shoaib in Sasural Simar Ka

After Shoaib Ibrahim aka Prem of Colors' 'Sasural Simar Ka' quit the show, its makers started hunting for his replacement. And their search is over — actor Dheeraj Dhoopar, who has featured in soaps like 'Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg' and 'Kuch Toh Log Kahenge', will be the new Prem.
According to sources, he will commence the shoot soon and his entry will air sometime in mid-March. Says Dheeraj, "I haven't seen the show, but it has a good storyline. It is definitely a challenge to replace someone, but I feel characters are more important than actors on television."
Shoaib had quit the show because he wasn't happy with his track. However, Dheeraj is positive that his character will gain prominence eventually. "Every role comes with a challenge. I will give my best as Prem and would expect the makers to return the favour by giving me a good track. I am sure the character will shape up nicely."
