We Found Our Way Back To Each Other!

PART 1

Jay had been in Canada for past four years and had made a position for himself in a reputed company.He had a job that everybody always dream of but something was missing in his life...he was no happy with his success..he was not happy in Canada!

He had always been a brilliant student with straightforward approach to issues.He had put in large amount of hard work to earn a position in his company.His mother Namrita also moved with him to Canada as she had only him in her life!

Namrita wasnt able to settle down in Canada as she had no one to talk to the whole day and she would stay quiet to hide her loneliness. She started loosing her health and thats when Jay realised that he was not being fair to her.

He brought her back to India, specifically to Mumbai.The place where he was born & brought up!

After cuming back to Mumbai he had made up his mind to do a business of his own.

In his room

He was lost deep in his thoughts when Namrita entered the room and switched the lights on.

Namrita :Why are you sitting in the dark?

Jay : Just like that Maa,"he said jokingly: "I was meditating'"

Namrita : Chal'''meditation aur tu? She laughed .You know Jay, when you stay alone for some time, you start becoming weird"😆

Jay : haha Maa didnt u know ? I was always weird'He laughed to keep the conversation light as he knew where it was heading'.towards his marriage.😛

Namrita : I want to talk something serious.You know it very well that I want you to get married and be happy in life.

Jay : do you want me to get married or you want me to be happy'? He knew that litsening to this she would become frustrated and would leave.

But Namrita was very serious & determined today'.she had brought a few photographs with her & placed them in front him

Jay : Thanks Maa

Namrita : Thanks ??

Jay : Aur Kya?'..Yeh prove karne ke liye ki tum normal ho'.A Typical Normal Indian Mom ho!!

Namrita laughed & said : Aur main teri shaadi karwa ke rahungi

Jay : Tum har thode din baad issi topic par kyun aa jaati ho?

Namrita : becoz I really want to see u happy!

Jay : I just want you to give me some time Maa..please!

Namrita : aur kitna time?

Jay : At least 5 years'.I'll get married when I am 31..

Namrita : And do you expect all pretty, qualified, eligible young girls to wait for you till then?

Jay : I'll marry whoever is left'.. is it fine? he winked.😉

In order to avoid her..He then puts on his earplugs & starts litsening songs on his Mobile Phone!

Unsuccessful yet again'Namrita left.

Part 10

Mohit-Ragini reached the room & Sanaya opened the door without Mohit-Ragini even knocking the door.

She gave a warm hug to Mohit..

Shobhit : Thank God tu aa gaya Mohit..ye Sanaya humein paka rahi thi.

Jay on the other hand had his eyes fixed on Ragini..who was wearing a peach coloured simple salwar-kameez & had her hair open.

Shobhit observed this & an idea clicked his mind.He took Mohit-Sanaya to a corner & whispered about this plan.

After about 2 mins.

Shobhit: Jay-Ragini chalo yaar hum bahar chalte hain..lets give some privacy to them.

Ragini who was unaware of the plan said: han yaar chalo hum sab bahar chalte hain.

Sanaya: Okay fine go outside..but please keep standing on the door..so that if somebody comes u all can inform us.

Jay-Ragini-Shobhit move outside & Sanaya locks the door from inside.

According to the plan Shobhit had to leave JayRa alone..so he left from there telling JayRa that he'll be back after 5 mins.

JayRa were standing at different corners of the door & were silent..

Jay decided to break silence & said:

Jay: Mohit-Sanaya ne toh humein watchman bana diya hai.

Ragini smiled answered teasingly : but u seem to be an experienced watchman.

Jay:I am experienced!!

Ragini: How come?

Jay: Don't u remember that during our college days when u used to get angry with me..I used to stand in front of ur house for long hours in order to manaofy u & people passing by used to think I am ur watchman.

Ragini laughed & didn't realize that she actually gave a Hi5 to Jay.

Her hand was still in Jay's hand😳..& she pulled it back!

She got uncomfortable & looked the other side.

Jay: Aah..those old golden days..I will never be able to forget them!

He looked at Ragini & waited for a similar reply but she didn't say anything.

Just then Shobhit came running towards them & told them that Sanaya's mom is coming here.

JayRa banged the door & Mohit quickly got into the washroom..Sanaya opened the door & JayRa-Shobhit got inside!

Sanaya's Mom-Aarti entered the room & saw them standing together.

Aarti : arey sab log yahin par ho.

She moved towards Ragini & said:

Aarti: kaisi hai tu Gini?

Ragini: Main bilkul theek hun aunty..aap kaise ho?

Aarti: Main bhi theek hun beta..dulhan ki mom jo hun..sabse zyada khush main hi hun.

She then looked at Jay

Jay bent down to touch her feet..

Aarti: Khush reh..bhagwaan kare terio shaadi jaldi ho jaaye.

Litsening to this Shobhit too bends down to touch her feet.😆😆

Aarti: Khush reh beta..

Shobhit: Kya Aunty..aapne mujhe shaadi waala aashirwaad kyun ni diya..

Everybody laughed🤣

Aarti: accha le..bhagwaan kare tujhe teri life partner jaldi mil jaaye

Shobhit smiled widely!

Aarti then moved towards sanaya & held her right ear.

Aarti: Tu Yahan kya kar rahi...beta kuch toh "Dulhan" ki tarah behave karle..saari dulhanein inn dino sharmati hain..aur tu bilkul ulti hai.

Ragini came near to then & teased Sanaya

Ragini: Aunty aisa hi hota jab love marriage hoti hai..maine toh kaha tha aapse ki iski Mohit se shadi matt karwao.

Sanaya hits Ragini on her shoulder.

Sanaya: tu chup reh Ragini..jaise tu toh arrange marriage karegi.

Ragini: Han main arrange marriage hi karungi!

Jay made a sad face & Shobhit started laughing looking at his face.😆

Aarti went from there informing them that the Sangeet ceremony will start at 7pm.

Mohit came out from the washroom

Mohit: Thank God aunty ne mujhe ni dekha..Thanks Jay-Ragini

Shobhit:unko kya thanks bol raha hai..maine hi unhe bataya ki aunty aa rahi hain..ye dono toh baatein karne mein busy thay.

Sanaya smiled listening to this & whispered to Mohit: Plan successful..they talked to each other!!

@7pm

The guests started arriving..the boys were ready..but Sanaya-Ragini were still getting ready.

Shobhit was given som wok by Aarti..so he was roaming here & there & suddenly banged himself on a girl.

The girl was none other than the one who he met last night.

Aarti came from behind

Aarti: kya kar raha hai Shobhit..dhyaan se chala kar.

The girl:arey "Bua" aap usse kyun daant rahe ho..meri bhi galti thi.

Shobhit was shocked to hear that she called Aarti as her "Bua"

Aarti: achha let me introduce u guys to each other.Shobhit she is Sakshi & Sakshi he is Shobhit..Sanaya's best friend..I'll introduce u to her other gang members..par abhi tu mere saath chal.

Sakshi went with Aarti to recieve the guests & Shobhit said to himself

"Sanaya ne kabhi bataya hi nahi ki uski itni beautiful cousin hai..but thank god I atleast got to know her name"

Here Jay-Shobhit were constantly looking at the door & were waiting for Ragini & Sanaya.

Mohit : Yaar..ye girls itna time kyun lagati hain taayar hone mein?

Jay: I swear yaar..pata nahi aur kitna wait karwayengi.

Mohit : Tu kiska wait kar raha hai btw?

Jay didn't want to say Ragini's name & answered:

Jay: Sanaya ka aur kiska?

Mohit: ohh..main toh Ragini ka wait kar raha hun.😛

Jay: What?? U're waiting for Ragini & not for Sanaya?

Mohit: yup.

Jay: Aane de Sanaya ko I'll complain her.

Mohit: han kar dena complain..she'll not believe u.

Aur band kar apna ye natak I very well know that u're waiting for Ragini.

Jay: Nahi..uska wait kyun karunga main?

Mohit: Jay is aid bas kar..I know you more than u know urself.

Jay: Han..i am waiting for her only.

Mohit smiled.

Mohit: Ye bata did u guys clear ur misunderstanding?

Jay: yeah sort of..I did asked for forgiveness from her.

Mohit: then did she forgive u?

Jay: yeah..but I can see it in her eyes that she isn't really interested in me & I guess she doesn't love me anymore!

Mohit: Aisa kuchh nahi Jay..she still loves you & obviously will not tell you.I think she just cant forget what u did to her.

Jay:But I am extremely guilty for what I did & now I want her back in my life.

Mohit : Bas yahi sunna tha mujhe tujhse..

He hugged Jay & said:

Mohit :Don't worry Bhai...we'll help u getting back her back.

Jay: Thank You..u guys are truly my best buddies

Jut then they saw the girls coming in.

Both the guys went spellbound seeing their girls & couldn't stop smiling.

Jay had his mouth open while staring at the gorgeous looking Ragini.

Mohit: Mooh toh band kar

Jay hits Mohit

Jay: Tu bhi aise matt dekh Sanaya ko.

Shobhit came in & Jay-Mohit didn't notice.

Mohit: I think these girls have planned to kill us with their looks.

Jay: U are soo right.

Shobhit interrupted

Shobhit: Ho gaya tum dono?

Jay-Mohit got embarrassed & stopped staring at the girls.

Part 14

It was 2pm in the afternoon..Ragini was all set and had packed all her stuff.

Jay had left after giving her the tickets in the morning..she was thinking about him and here he called her up.

Jay: Heyyya..All set?

Ragini: Yup..everything is done but I am missing you..I wanted to be with me until I get to the flight atleast!

Jay: Sorry but I cant...theres this urgent project which I have to finish before I go back to Mumbai.

There was no project..he didn't want to be with Ragini at this time coz he didn't want her to feel that he doesn't want her to go.

He then talked about everything except her leaving.

Ragini was not liking this behavior of his & was just listening to him..didn't reply anything. This was not what she wanted or expected. And it was so strange of him to behave like this. He was trying to be someone he wasn't! After a long time when she didn't reply, Jay felt odd.

Jay: Gini you there?

Silence prevailed for a few seconds.

Ragini: why are you doing this Jay? Kyun kar rahe ho aisa?

Jay kinda understood what she was trying to hint at but chose to ignore.

Jay: main kya kar raha hoon?

Ragini: Don't try to hide ur feelings

Jay: I can't understand what are you trying to say!

Ragini: be yourself damn it! For god's sake..shout at me..ask me several questions for leaving like this where I actually don't know when I am coming back..daanto mujhe..but don't behave like this! Don't put up that fake mask Jay..

He went silent & closed his eyes

Ragini: I want u to be here with me..

Jay: I want to but I cant..

He then tried to be chirpy

Jay: ab zyada na socho..get ready..u will have to leave for the airport 2 hours early.

Ragini: mein kya karoon tumhara Jay?

Jay(cutely): mujhe kya pata..wo toh tum pe depend karta hai na..

Ragini: I love you Jay..

Jay: love you too..ok am keeping..need to finish this project..Bye!

He disconnected the call and threw the phone aside. He had no Project to work upon. He just couldn't have talked to her anymore.

Flight was at 6pm. She was at the airport at around 4pm as per rules.Jay never called her up. She so wanted to meet her..talk to him. She wanted to check on him before leaving..She even called him up a number of times but he never responded.

She expected him to be at the airport. She wanted to see him for one last time before leaving because she didn't know when she was coming back!

She was somewhere feeling guilty for leaving Jay alone.

She thought "Abhi toh hum dubara mile thay & we're being separated once again..Why does this always happen to us?"

Then she saw Mohit-Sanaya-Shobhit at the airport who came to see her off.

Sanaya got a bit emotional and hugged her.

But her eyes were searching for someone else.

Ragini: Where is Jay? he is not taking my call!

Shobhit: umm we asked him to come with us but he said he will come later.

She waited and waited and waited but he didn't show up! Announcement was made to board the flight. The four had a group hug. But she was more worried about him. She guessed he probably didn't want to face this!

Mohit-Sanaya-Shobhit went off.

She walked with a heavy heart looking here and there..got furious at him for not coming to see her but at the same time had a tiny hope that he might show up. She was about to reach the security when she noticed something.

He had come to meet her in the airport but didn't have it in him to face her. He knew that if he himself gets disheartened..then she wouldn't get ready to leave him like this. He hid himself at some distance away from her and kept looking at her without blinking his eyes..trying to capture her every movement with his eyes. As she moved towards the security, he moved along, though hiding. Her restless eyes were searching for him madly in that crowd.

Seeing her restless..Jay couldn't control himself and pulled her to a corner and slammed her against the wall. She looked up to see his fuming face and the next she knew was his lips glued to hers. She wanted to get away..no she didn't want to.She hit his chest weakly..a part of her trying to move away and the other trying to give in. she didn't cry. She hit him again and again but they were so weak! She couldn't hold back her tears..as they rolled down. He didn't care. Rather, he pushed himself against her hard, not letting her move and pressed his lips harder trying to gain an entry to her mouth. She didn't give in..he parted a little.

Ragini(angry): Ab kyun aaye ho tum?? Tumhe toh mujhse milna hi nahi tha na?

She was angry..sad..probably broken.He then squeezed her cheeks with his fingers and kissed her hard again. She couldn't fight. She so much wanted to be with him.

The final announcement was made but Jay went on and on and on till her entire body trembled against him.

He pulled back after a few seconds..she wiped her tears and looked away!

Jay: You should go now..

Ragini:why didn't u want to meet me?

That was something he didn't want to discuss now.

Jay: Ragini..you ought to be on board, not here..

Ragini: you didn't answer me Jay

He sighed & said: "there are somethings better left unanswered!" Ragini..its already time for the take off..go now!!

Ragini (coldly): alright then..if that's what you want..I am leaving!!!

Millions of needles stung his heart hearing her say that "she was leaving". She turned and walked up a few steps.

She waited for her to call him back..for once..but when he didn't she turned back to look at him one last time. He was looking at her.

And that broke her resolution. She turned to him and ran straight into his arms, hugging him tight. Her tears wet his chest.

Jay: I love you more than my life...

Ragini(crying): I love you...don't know how much!

He smiled through his tears.

It was hard to let him go. But she had to. She plastered a smile on her face and went away. He stood there watching her flight vanish in the air, a part of his went away with her.

Jay & Ragini stood facing each other.Totally zapped with the developments in last few hours.

Jay had never thought that he will see himself going to his best friend's wedding'..to Goa'.will make a plan for this with Shobhit & meet Ragini in the process.

She had her own plans of attending the wedding but had missed her flight by chance and landed up taking a lift from Shobhit who by the way was also taking Jay along with him'..AMAZING..ummm is this a coincidence?

Unable to find words, Jay turned around once, praying hard to see Shobhit'..but Shobhit was smart enough as he vanished at the right moment. Jay cursed him hard but didn't realise that Ragini heard what he said.😆

Ragini was shocked to see him'.a small part of her was thrilled as she saw someone who she had just imagined, remembered, fantasized for 4 long years'.

She realised why all her relationships in past 4 years had ended in a failure.

it was becoz that nobody had the charm like Jay😳

It wasn't as if she had never tried to move on'.in fact, she had''and she had as many as 3 boyfriends in these years but none of her affairs had lasted more than 6 months.Right now, when she looked at Jay, she wondered what charisma he had, that she unknowingly kept trying to find in every man she had come to know, all this time''..

She had never tried to meet him or talk to him all this while and seeing him here appeared to her as if some fantasy had come true😍

Right now she felt disgusted & was highly irritated at Jay's loss of words & trying to look here and there.

She thought to herself : Come'on WE'RE were meeting after 4 years, at least he could have hugged ME as a friend, maybe shook hands with ME or at least smiled at ME or showed some sort of happiness on seeing ME after a long time''But what are you thinking Gini'..he is Jay. He will never do what you expect him to.

Jay looked around just for a few seconds and when he couln't find either Shobhit or words to speak'..he looked back at her..she seemed angry & pissed..she started putting her luggage on the back seat.

He realised that he had lost his senses for a while after seeing her☺️ & then he observed slamming of the door by Ragini.😆

Jay fumbled & said : Let me help you.

Ragini : NO THANKS!!

Jay : Actually'Shobhit didnt tell me bout this.I mean, I didn't know that you would be coming.

He realised that he was speaking to her after a long time'Although he had always talked to her in his dreams...but this time it was REALITY!

Ragini : Oh really? I am sure you didn't know this otherwise you would have backed out.

Jay : Why would I back out?.

Ragini : To avoid me & I am so sorry you had to go through this pain.

They were still standing outside facing each other, only her luggage was now inside.

Jay : Why would I avoid you?

Ragini : I think you know that better..

Jay : Look Gini...

Ragini : Ragini...the name is Ragini...only people who are close to me call me "Gini"

Jay : Ok fine Ragini'I really don't understand what you are trying to say? In fact, I'm actually happy to see you.

Ragini : OMG' the way you behaved on seeing me, trying to look for a place to disappear, sure tells me that you are happy'.'and this is your happy face?

Jay : Look at your face'..the moment you saw me'ur expression were like as if u saw a GHOST. You are telling me that I would have not come..I believe that if Shobhit had told you that I was his friend who was going with him, I am sure, you would have dropped your plan.

Though they argued, they were not loud or shouting.In fact, they talked very calmly.

Ragini : Why would I drop my plans for someone who is non-existent for me? Stop over-rating yourself and believe me I am hardly bothered you are here because it doesn't matter.

Jay : It really doesn't matter...like...Really?

Ragini : Yes'.

Jay : So, then you are coming with us, because my being here doesn't bother you at all?

Ragini : Yes, Of Course, it doesn't!!

Jay turned around and went and sat on the front seat.

Ragini opened the door of the back seat & sat quietly just behind the driver's seat where could see Jay clearly😳

Jay placed two of his fingers of his left hand on his forehead while thinking something.He used to do this when tensed, Ragini knew this gesture wvery well..so she knew he was a bit tensed!

Both of them didnt spoke for around five minutes.

The silence was broken when Shobhit turned up with water bottles in his hand.

Shobhit : Hey Guys

JayRa looked at him and gave him murderous looks😆

Shobhit : umm..Shall we go?

Jay : Shobhit..you come this side. I want to drive..

Jay said so as he wanted to do anything that distracted his mind. He had never wanted to see her, meet her or talk to her and here she was right beside him for so many hours'..and so near to him that he wanted to touch her...hug her...he was thinking how come she still looks so GORGEOUS...he wanted to keep looking at her..he did not want to loose her again..she still was the same girl..who replies blunty..aaahh..she is the SAME GIRL..I fell in love with!

Shobhit : I don't mind

Jay was a pretty good driver. They drove fast as the roads were almost clear.

After a while, Shobhit turned to the back seat where Ragini was adjusting her luggage'..taking out a scarf to save her hair from the rough wind, novels and some snacks.

She looked at him and smiled.

Shobhit : So'.how come you missed the flight?

Ragini explained to him how her car was giving her troubles and how she reached just a few minutes before the flight departure but they did not let her in.

He asked her about her family members and their well being and she asked about his.They kept talking non-sense, according to Jay for about one hour.

In all this conversation, one major thing that Jay noticed was that she was engaged to some person working in New York and she herself was working with a top MNC as a financial consultant. He felt a little uneasy.

He asked himself. : Why? Why should I even bother? She is just engaged. In fact she could have turned up with a hubby and two kids. What were you expecting dude?

Since the morning fiasco, Jay & Ragini had not talked to each other and Shobhit sensed it.He was surprised because he was expecting a lot of fireworks but both of them did not give him a chance to be worried about.

Shobhit : You know Gini'.

Just then Jay turned his face towards Shobhit with a deadly look'seeing this Shobhit corrected himself by saying.

Shobhit : ohh sorry Ragini.

Jay since the time of college daya didnt like it when any other GUY excpet him called her "Gini"

Shobhit talked some randon stuff & soon felt asleep..after he slept..either Ragini used to steal a glance of Jay for 2-3 sceonds...or Jay used to look at her from the rear view mirror☺️

HOTEL

Jay-Shobhit reach the hotel & before doing anything else they bang mohit's door.Mohit open's the door & both Jay & shobhit hugged Mohit tightly..& said "CONGRATULATIONS"

Mohit was staying a grand suite..so all three of them sat in the drawing room.

Jay : Chal Bhai..finally u are getting married to ur Sanaya..Really happy for u!!

Mohit : thanks yaar..tu bata tera kya haal chaal hai??

Jay : theek hun..kyun?

Mohit : aise hi...tell me when are u planning to get married?

Jay : Nahh..i m in ho hurry to get married

Mohit wanted to ask more & something about Ragini..but he stopped himself & thought he might get angry

Shobhit : Mohit..why aren't u asking anything from me? Meri shaadi bhi ni hui hai abhi tak

Mohit : tu aur shaadi?? Tujhse kaun karega shaadi?😆

Jay & Mohit gave a hi5 to each other

Shobhit : That wasn't funny...tujhe Sanaya mil sakti hai toh mujhe toh koi bhi mil jayegi...

He picked up a pillow & threw it on Mohit..

He for once thought of telling about the girl he saw at the corridor..but stopped...thinking that they might make fun.

RESORT

Ragini & Sanaya were lying down on the bed..

Sanaya : Howz ur NY guys??

Ragini : what do u mean by NY guy..uska naam Arjun hai'u very well know his name..

Sanaya : Han Han Arjun..kya chal raha hai tera aur Arjun ka aaj kal?

Ragini: Kuchh Nahi..

Sanaya : Kuchh Nahi matlab "Break Up" ho gaya?

She jumped in excitement & stood up on the bed

Ragini : Chup Chap neeche baith'itna khush kyun ho rahi hai?Han humara break up ho gaya!

Sanaya smiled widely but when Ragini looked at her then she made a sad face!

Sanaya: Par u got engaged with him..aise kaise break up ho gaya?

Ragini ; Chhod na change the topic

Sanaya : Bata na please

Ragini : He got a job in Australia & he wanted me to move there with him..I refused & we had a break up.

Sanaya : but why did u refuse?

Ragini : Becoz I didn't want to leave London..

Sanaya : Toh ab kya??

Ragini: Kuchh nahi..I m here to attend your wedding & then will get back to London...India mein kya karungi waise bhi

Sanaya : achha chuck this topic..tell me how was it meeting Shobhit again?

Ragini : Haha..he's super fun like always'bilkul nahi badla wo..

Sanaya : what about Jay?

Ragini went silent..

Sanaya : Ragini..i asked something..

Ragini : hmm..it ws nice catching up with after a long time

Sanaya : did u talk to him?

Ragini : Sanaya I don't want to talk about him!

Sanaya : But why?? Aur kitna avoid karegi Jay ko..I know u still love him..

Ragini : Who told u that I still love him?? & if in case I do...then does he also love me?? Nahi na..He never loved me & he never will..

Sanaya : This means u guys have not cleared ur misunderstanding abhi tak

Ragini : kaisi misunderstanding Sanaya?? Everything is clear..me & Jay were never together & neither do we want to.

Sanaya after litsening to this became even more sure that Ragini still loves Jay!

Sanaya decided to change the topic again & went on to talk about her & Mohit..

Sanaya : Tujhe pata hai kal meri aur Mohit ki first date anniversary hai.

Ragini : ohh dats COOL...both of u were so in love in since our college days & no u're getting married...toih ab wedding anniversary celebrate karna..first date anniversary ko chhod

Sanaya : No way..after getting married also we will celebrate our First Date anniversary coz it was really special. I am so glad Mohit also remembers it..abhi tere ane se pehle hum yahi baat kar rahe thay.

Sanaya went on talking about her first date & soon felt asleep.Ragini on the other hand could not sleep as she got the glimpses of her last date with Jay...

She closed her eyes & thought about it...

Part 6

Shobhit had a nice nap & after a while Jay and Shobhit changed positions so that Shobhit could drive now. Jay came to the other side and while opening the gate and tying down the seat belt, he quickly looked at the rear seat to have a glimpse of Ragini. ☺️

She sat comfortably leaning on her bag. She was wearing her spects and was engrossed deeply in some book. Her left hand had a juice tetrapack with its straw between her lips. He felt his heart missing beats again and he cursed it badly for the same.

While driving Shobhit asked Ragini..

Shobhit : Ragini..arent u excited to meet Sanaya??

Ragini : offcourse i am..ussi ke liye toh maine time nikala hai...warna main toh..

She didnt complete her sentence..Jay interupped

Jay : Warna ye toh aati hi nahi

Ragini : no its nothing like that...Sanaya is my best friend..uski wedding mein main zaroor aati..its just that i didnt want to meet or see someone..

Jay heard this & was a bit hurt...coz by someone she meant "him" only

Both of them sat quitely for the next 5 mins

Shobhit couldnt take the silene so he started the convo again.

Shobhit : Lets play a prank on Sanaya-Mohit

Jay : [Got excited] ]Haan Chal...

Ragini : No...its their wedding aise matt kar Shobhit

Shobhit : Come on Ragini..dont be a spoilsport!

Jay : Well... She has always been a spoilsport..

Ragini : Shobhit..just tell ur friend to SHUTUP!

Shobhit : achha I drop the idea...we wont play any prank on Mohit-Sanaya

Ragini smiled & said : Good Boy 😛

Shobhit has another mischief in his mind now.He turned to Jay & asked

Shobhit: tujhe Akriti yaad hai?

Jay was stunned & didn't know what to answer & he just looked at Shobhit

Shobhit was looking straight at the road & avoided eye contact with Jay

Shobhit : bata na...yaad hai Akriti? This time he said it loudly so that Ragini cud hear it😆

Jay : Haan yaad hai kyun??

Shobhit : She too is getting married very soon with a guy called Abhinav.

Jay : Ohh...par tu mujhe ye sab kyun bata raha hai?

Shobhit : Aise hi...mujhe yaad aa gaya toh maine bata diya..waise usne mujhe bulaya hai apni wedding pe..

Jay: Toh main kya karun?

Shobhit : Tu kar bhi kya sakta hai..but I was just wondering ki usne tujhe kyun nahi bulaya..I have an idea,you bump into Akriti at any public place and she will be excited to see you. She will definitely invite you to the wedding and then you too can attend her wedding.

Jay :What a stupid idea..it's ridiculous.

Shobhit : Arrey kya ridiculous hai? it's a superb idea.Its the best way u can be friends again with ur long lost best friend!

Jay : Just get one thing in your mind...she was not my best friend & i m nt intersted to attend her wedding!

Shobhit : I don't think I understand...you can be at the wedding, what is the problem?

Jay : There is no problem...I just feel a bit awkward.that's it.

Shobhit : Awkwardness ki koi baat hi nahi hai yaar..tujhe yaad nahi,Akriti tujhe kitna pasand karti thi..kitna khush ho jayegi wo tujhe dekh kar.

Jay : Mujhe toh har ladki pasand karti hai.

Jay said very light heartedly without actually meaning it.

Immediately, Jay realised that Ragini was sitting right behind them and he had completely neglected that fact while talking.😆 He stopped speaking and looked at Shobhit, who was back with his awful expressions. Slowly Jay turned back and looked at Ragini, who was staring at him.

Both Jay and Shobhit shut up completely for a while. Shobhit drove quietly and Jay returned to the newspaper that he had bought on the way.

Finally Ragini broke the silence after a couple of minutes.

Ragini : Kya hua? Bolo bolo..Tumhe har ladki pasand karti hai? Accha,mujhe toh pata hi nahin tha, kitne lucky ho tum Jay.

Jay was embarrassed no end. He had actually not meant it and the boys used to tease each other even in college days about how a girl had a crush on them and each responded by raising a collar to that, accepting what a cool dude he was. Of course, they never joked about sincere girls and never did they joke about their own friends, like Ragini and Sanaya. But there was no point explaining all that here, as he had unknowingly put his foot in a wrong place. He had, just now, given an impression that he was someone who loved female attention and was proud of getting one. In normal circumstances, he would have carried on with the issue and laughed it off in fun. But the situation presently was far from normal.

Shobhit tried to defend Jay, "Come'on yaar Gini..I mean Ragini''.he didn't mean it.You know how boys talk. It was a very simple statement.

Ragini : You keep quiet Shobhit..I am not talking to you.

Jay : Ohhh...thanks Ragini, finally you are talking to me.

Jay looked at her, smiled and answered.

Ragini : I am just not talking to either of you. And Shobhit,I did not expect this from you.

Shobhit : But what did I do?

Jay:You mean, you had expected this from me and not Shobhit, right?

Ragini :This was the last thing that I expected from my friends that they will make fun of women in general, especially a lady who is getting married soon, considers you her friend.

Shobhit again started defending their behaviour

But he was cut abruptly by Jay..

Jay : can i say something?

Shobhit gave a go-ahead gesture to him

Jay : Miss Ragini Chopra-did you call us 'friends'? Well..I am definitely thrilled, thanks.

Ragini was too shocked to speak for few seconds

Ragini : I never called you my friend.

Jay : Well maybe..but I heard you saying that you don't expect this from your friends.

He replied calmly but for once had cornered Ragini for her own words. He sure knew how to give it back. And this time he was not going to leave it here.

Ragini : Okay, maybe..but I was referring mainly to Shobhit.

Jay : You were referring to Shobhit?...for something he didn't say at all.I mean the whole thing started at my comment, isn't it?

Ragini was without any answer.

Shobhit was enjoying all this. He remembered their college days when Ragini and Jay were famous for their sharp retorts, witty arguments and for embarrassing anybody who messed with them. People usually gave up discussions, when they realised that they were in front of either Jay or Ragini.

But Ragini was not someone who would accept defeat.

She was quiet only for a few seconds before responding.

Ragini : Sure, it started with you Jay, but I was upset at Shobhit being a part of your stupid jokes. He is still my friend and I really like him.

Shobhit was scared once again on being dragged into this. And Ragini's declaration of liking him surely cleared way for Jay to start hating him. He gave a desperate, helpless grin to Jay, who was clearly annoyed.

Shobhit looked at them.They were talking directly to each other.

Jay was turned to face the back seat and Ragini sat almost at the edge of the rear seat. She had taken support by placing a hand at the driver's seat and the pressure made Shobhit feel that she was leaning.

Jay : Are my jokes stupid?

Ragini : They are, believe me, and everything you speak is non-sense,and whoever talks to you is a fool.

Jay : Well..you are talking to me right now..so what do you think about yourself?

Ragini : I am a fool definitely..and I was always a fool and anybody who talks to you, is friends with you and loves you is a big fool.

For once she had completely forgotten that they had met just today after so many years, that they were in a car and that Shobhit was present with them.

Though Shobhit had known about them since college, in fact, everyone in their group knew about them but it was long back:What would he think about her after listening to this. And why was she acting desperate?She thought.

Was she still carrying the grudges or the pain since then? Was she unable to get over Jay even though she pretended to do the opposite?

"Are you talking about yourself?" Jay looked straight into her eyes.

Ragini : I am ummm No, I'm not..I mean I said in general.

Jay sensed her uneasiness and turned back to sit straight in his seat facing the road ahead. He didn't mean to embarrass her but she always made him argue with her.

"Why do I talk to her? I have to sit quiet and no more responding to her"

He forced himself to stay calm and unaffected but it seemed to take a lot of effort. He decided not to think about her but it was all a waste of energy. He was thinking only about her.. her captivating eyes,her silky hair,her intoxicating smell,Her warm presence around him.

He promised himself that he won't look back again.

Rest of the journey was relatively uneventful.

Ragini consciously spoke less, she didn't want to give an impression to Shobhit and especially to Jay that she was a in reality, a weak person in the veil of a strong fighter, when dealing with matters of heart.

And the way Jay spoke of female attention to him, she was pretty sure that she didn't want herself to be a victim of the same joke.

Jay lived upto his promise to himself and didn't look at Ragini or talked to her. Though, not thinking about her was not in his hands.

Shobhit was actually the jittery one, as he knew both of them very well. He prayed to his God for a boring journey as he did not want anymore fireworks. He knew that if things go out of hand, he will be at the receiving end from both of his friends.

Finally they reached Goa.

I know this part was not good...but I assure u the next part will be good...JayRa will have a serious chat in the next part & Shobhit wont be there to disurb them😍
