Ragini kept her shoes and walked in side...Jay had already bought his bag and was removing his jacket..

Ragini: Lao mein closet mein rakh deti hun..

Jay gave her the jacket and she hanged it for him.

Jay kept looking at her...She looked so tired and worn out, so different from the girl he had known couple of days ago.

He went to her immediately and hugged her😳

Ragini closed her eyes with a sigh..she was so happy he was here...it felt as if half her tension has left her.

Ragini : Chalo, tumhe guest room dikhati hun..tum bhi toh thak gaye ho..

Jay kissed her forehead and smiled at her & said,"Chalo"

He took his bags and followed Ragini upstairs...looking around...Lots of photos of hers and Aastha were framed on the wall...There were some family pictures on the walls next to the steps.

Ragini showed him the guest room and showed other rooms around...it was not so big..just 5 bedrooms upstairs, 3 of which were already occupied...1 was guest room, though she thought they never had any guests here...Jay was the first to come and stay.

Jay: Waise Ragini..howz ur Dad now?

Ragini detailed him about everything & after that she asked.

Ragini: Main abb jaun...thoda fresh hoke aati hun...subah se hospital mein thi..

Jay: Yeah..Tum jao..mujhe kuch chahiye ho to mein dhund loonga...

Ragini shyly looked down and went to her room...She took her bath...wore a jeans and T-shirt and came out of the room...she was about to knock Jay's door but at last moment opted out and went down to prepare dinner...To her surprise Jay was already there, making noodles.

Jay: Okay... my skills are limited to making noodles & tea only😛

He said grinning at her when he saw her at the door...

Ragini smiled and went in..

Ragini : bahaut ho gaya itna hi...waise zyada bhook bhi nahi hai..

Jay looked at her with new fascination, she looked wonderful...she wore no make up, no jewellery..he was about to go to her when...Phone started ringing & Ragini quickly ran to pick it up, her heart beating heavily, thinking about how Jay had been looking at he..she picked up the phone...it was her mom...

Shalini: Gini...pahunch gayi?

Ragz: Haan maa mein pahunch gayi thik se...

she said looking at Jay who was grinning at her...

Ragini: Papa kaise hain?

Shalini: Theek hai..aur sun..Kal breakfast aur lunch main yahin kar lungi..tu mat lana..sham ko Aastha ke sath hi aana...theek hai...?

Ragz: Okay Maa.

Shalini: Mein rakhti hu...apna dhyan rakhna...bye

Ragini: Bye.

She kept the phone and then she dialed Aastha's no. indicating Jay to wait for few minutes..

Jay nodded and arranged the tray, while Ragini talked to Aastha..

Ragini: Dinner ke liye nahi ayegi kya?

Aastha: Nahi yaar...aaj main dinner baad mein karungi..abhi bahaut kaam hai boutique mein..

Ragini: Achha theek hai...par kal breaklfast ke liye yahan aa jana..

Aastha: Okay...Byee..

Ragini: Bye..

After talking to Aastha...she looked at Jay😳

Jay: Aise kya dekh rahi ho?

Ragini shyly smiled..

Ragini :Tumhe dekh rahi hun...ab kya dekh bhi nahi sakti?

Jay: Offcourse dekh sakti ho...but pehle have some food.

After havin food...Jay sat in the living room...while Ragini went to wash the dishes.

Jay saw Ragini's iPOD & started checking her list of songs...most of them were old hindi songs

Jay: Bilkul waisi hi hai iski pasand jaise 4saal pehle thi...ek bhi song list mein change nahi hua.

Ragini came in & asked..

Ragini : why are u smiling?

Jay: Ye sochke...ki tum bilkul nhai badli...

She looked down shyly & said : achha main sone jaa rhi hun ab.

Seeing her leave...Jay pressed the "play" button & a song played..

...The song ended, but they were still in eachothers arms looking at each other..

At last Ragini hugged him tightly...chuckling...

Jay smiled and closed his arms tightly, putting his head on hers...

Jay: Jao aab jake thoda aaram karo..he said slowly...pulling her up to her room and leaving her at her door..

She slowly nodded and closed the door...looking at him shyly...

Jay scratched his head grinning...she felt so nice in his arms when they were dancing together...and she matched his steps so well that it felt natural to do so...the time stilled with just the both of them..he sighed and slowly walked to his room...

He was partly successful in relieving her from her stress he thought sighing...

It was almost 11:45pm by the time he entered his room...but could not sleep for a long time...thinking of Ragini just a door away, that too alone in the house, made him feel like going to her and taking her in his arms again...but he knew he could not do that..He fell asleep in his room, after a long time...

Ragini's alarm started ringing at 8am...she got up with a jerk...after washing her face, She went to Jay's room, but he was still asleep...she smiled slowly and closed the door, remembering the song Jay sang today..it felt so nice to be in his arms once again..she felt her body a little relaxed for the first time since she came from India, a little relieved...

She went and prepared some instant soup and sandwiches,thinking about how to tell her parents about Jay...After thinking about it for a long time she atlast decided to tell her mom the truth and let her decide as she did not want to keep lying to her mom...it was better to get the air cleared before.

She then went to Jay's room to tell him about this decision...he was awake and came out of bathroom washing his face...

Ragini: Hi...neend ho gayi..

Jay: Hmmm..kahin ja rahi ho?

Ragini: Main kahin nahi jaa rahi..par Aastha will come here in a while for breakfast

Jay: Okay then let her come..phir sath mein khate hain..

They looked at each other for a moment☺️

Ragini: Thik hai...main shower leke aati hun...she said slowly closing the door..

Jay also went to take the shower..

After half an hour..the door bell rang & Ragini opened the door..

Aastha: Good morning..

Ragini:Good Morning.. kitne baje pahunhi kal t apne ghar?

Aastha: Raat ko almost 11 baje...how's uncle?

Ragz: Bilkul thik hai..

Sun...ghar mein mera ek dost aaya hai?

Aastha: Really...boy friend ya girl friend..?

Ragini: tu bhi na...

Ragini handed over a plate which sanwiches & a bowl of soup to Aastha.

Aastha: Where's ur friend?...tune bataya nahi...boy friend ya girl friend?

She asked with a smile..

Ragini took the kitchen cloth and throwed it on her slowly..Her face red with embarrassment..God this Aastha was going to keep bugging her now..

Ragini: Jaldi khana kha...bhook nahi lagi?

Aastha: Ruk main abhi aati hun...meri ek book tere room mein padi hai...i want that.

As soon as Aastha went up, Jay came to the kitchen...

Ragini blushed looking at him...she knew he had heard everything...

Jay: ab to use pata chal hi jayega, ki tumhara dost boy ha..phir kya karogi😆

he whispered in her ear..

Ragini blushed even more..and went away from him, switching on the stove..she took out the veges for preparing lunch and cleaned the kitchen without looking at Jay..she could feel him watching though..with a grin on his face..

Jay on the other side, was loving each minute...Ragini looked so lovely...at night she was too tired...but now a little color had returned back on her face..she looked more herself...and the way she blushed made him crazy..

Aastha came down the stairs..rushing in the kitchen and stopped suddenly at the sight of Jay...she looked at him and then at Ragini..

Aastha: I can't believe this...boyfriend? She asked with a grin..

Jay chuckled'..

Jay: Jay Khurana'..

Jay said giving a hand for a shake.

Aastha: Hi..Aastha Singh...Ragini's bestfriend but more of a sister

she said shaking his hand..

Jay: So, why can't you believe it? London mein to saab ke boy friends hote hain..aaj tumhara bh hoga.

Aastha: Hote hain...mera bhi tha...but Ragini...no way...I never thought...any ways..I hope your intentions are honorable towards my sister..

she asked seriously..

Ragini choked on the water she was drinking..and Jay could not help but chuckle..

Jay: Kaunse movie mein dialogue dekhi hai yeh?

He asked laughing..

Aastha: Can't remember...haan may be father of the bride..ya aur kuch..😉

Jay started laughing..

Ragini: Aastha..apni bak bak band kar aur apna sandwich kha le..phir jaa apni boutique ..

she said frowning at her..

Jay: I assure you Aastha...your sister/best friend is safe with me..Mujhe khushi hui ki tumhe iska itna khayal hai..

he said smiling sweetly at Ragini,,

Ragini frowned at both of them and shook her head..

Aastha : Good choice Gini..I like your BF😛

Jay: So friends? He asked giving him his hands.

Aastha: Cool.

So where do you stay?

Jay: I came from India..

Aastha: Baap re Gini.Tu inhe India se le ayi..

she asked looking at Ragini..Ragini closed her eyes and prayed for some patience.

Jay: ye nahi le ayi..mein khud aaya hun...aaj..

he said smiling at her'.

Aastha: Gini ke liye.?

Jay: Aise hi kuch samajh lo

Aastha :Are you gonna marry her? I mean are u serious about this relationship?

She asked his eyes widening..

Jay looked at her and nodded slowly...

God, what else could he say😆

Aastha: Oh my God..Gini.

she said looking at Ragini, who herself was too shocked to say a word

Aastha: This means u are my hone waale JIJU?

Jay: Han...saaliji..Abhi papa ko mat batana..pehle hi unki tabiyat thik nahi hai...unhe aur pareshan nahi karna chahiye na.

Aastha: Dont Worry...I won't tell a word😉

Ragini hardly spoke a word or so after that...Once they were done, Aastha got up to leave to her boutique.. Jay decided to leave her till her car...he blowed a flying kiss at Ragini and grinned when she blushed...She kept her head on her chair and closed her eyes...

"God ye Aastha meri jaan nikalegi"...she thought...

Part 7

They finally reached Goa
...

Shobhit parked the car in the parking lot. Jay decided to wait there till Ragini went inside to check her room as Shobhit too went along with her.

Jay was taking a walk in the open area near the parking lot while waiting for Shobhit to come and join him. The cool sea breeze ran through him. He had always loved beaches, sea, Sun and the sand.

He called his mother to tell her about the safe journey and reaching Goa. He deliberately avoided telling her about Ragini.

He was still talking to her when he spotted Ragini coming towards the Car. He was nearby and could have walked away to avoid her but to his surprise he walked towards her.He was near the rear gate when Ragini came and stood right in front of him. She looked breathtakingly beautiful. He stood fascinated in front of her. She smiled at him and said

Ragini : Excuse me Jay

She moved to open the rear gate and picked up her wallet from the vehicle floor.

Ragini : It had fell down somewhere during the journey and I saw it but didn't pick up. I thought I'll pick it later and see, I just forgot

Jay stood there just watching her.He wasn't sure if she was speaking to herself or to him. She closed the door and turned to go. She had barely walked a few steps before she heard her name.

Jay : Ragini...

He didn't know why he did this but something inside made him do it. One thing he knew that if he didn't call her now, he would again have to wait many years before he could talk to her.

It took her few seconds to turn back as even she had not expected that he would call her name.

She turned back towards him with a questioning look on her pretty face. Her face glowed in the last rays of the setting sun, as she waited for him to speak.

He took the few steps to cover the distance between them and said :-

Jay : Congratulations Ragini

Ragini : For what?

She started thinking of reasons of celebrations in her life.

Jay : I heard that you are engaged to be married shortly.

Ragini : Oh that'..

She opened her mouth to tell him that it was an old news and she had broken up with the NY guy, she had just let Shobhit talk about it during the journey, so that they don't feel sorry for her. But she noticed Jay's facial expressions, the twitching of eyebrows and the pouting of lips. She knew that it troubled him and she decided to go ahead with it, saying

Ragini :Thanks a lot Jay

Jay : It gives me great pleasure to see you happy.

Jay was obviously disturbed.

She felt like punching him in the face 😆 but gave a really wide smile showing all of her white teeth. She had got a means to bother him and it gave her immense pleasure to see him frustrated.

Ragini : I know Jay that you are happy for me. Anyways, it was a great co-incidence to meet you.

Jay : There is no such thing as co-incidence Ragini'..

Ragini : I know'I know'..we are destined to meet those who we do and it is all planned. You always say this na, so may be it's my destiny that you will congratulate me before I get married.

He simply smiled back.

Ragini : Ok, see you later.Sanaya might be waiting for me.

Jay :Can I say something else too?"

Ragini : Yeah'..please do.

Jay : Gini'' "will you be able to forgive me?"

Her smile disappeared instantly and she felt her heart beating fast with multiple beats at a time. The question he asked was not easy to answer as he had not done anything that could be termed wrong in literal sense.

Ragini : Why are you asking for forgiveness? What did you do?

Jay: I let you down''''and''.I was very insensitive.

Ragini : No Jay. You did not let me down. There was nothing between us. We were just friends.She controlled her words and emotions. She didn't want to break down in front of Jay.

Jay: Yes''but for some time, we were together'''before I behaved stupidly

He had difficulty finding words. But right now, he wanted to speak whatever he had always wished, he should have by now. At least she owed an explanation from him. And all these years he had imagined himself talking to Gini and feeling sorry for hurting her.

Ragini :Two dates''it was exactly two dates Jay'..which is too less to say that we were a couple. But before that we had been friends for two years. I am more upset at the way it all broke in one go.

Jay :It was completely my fault. I hurt you.

Ragini : No. You didn't. You had never committed to me, ever.

She didn't want to allow him to clarify and move ahead. It was easier for her to pretend as if nothing had happened and he was unnecessarily worried for her.

Jay : But I could have been more considerate''

He was frustrated at the way he was unable to express himself and she didn't help either. In fact, she behaved as if she was completely unaffected.

Ragini : You did what you thought was best at that time. Why talk about it now? You never spoke of what you felt and whether you felt something at all. Then you realised that we were not meant to be together. Maybe, it was for good. And believe me, I don't blame you for that Jay. It happens.

He moved closer. His eyes never left hers.

She observed pain in his eyes and a serious look on his face. As he spoke, she heard his huskiest tone ever.

Jay: So, shall I assume that you forgave me?

She felt week in her knees and the sincerity she saw on his face washed away her pain of 4 years.

"So he was going through the same ache".She realised that she was pleased to see this.

Ragini : I told you that there is nothing to forgive. I don't hold anything against you but still if it satisfies you, then 'YES'.

There was relief on his face and a subtle smile made it's way through his lips to his eyes. He looked really handsome.

Jay : Thanks'''.as I had expected you to, I am really pleased to see that you moved on.

"If only I could, though I tried, sincerely"'Ragini thought.

She simply smiled and then recollected that she had come to take her wallet.

Ragini:See you'..

Jay : Yeah'..

He wanted to say much more but stopped himself.

She walked a few steps and turned back to ask.

Ragini : How's Fluffy?

He gave a broad, proud smile.

Jay : He has become very naughty.

She gave a thankful sigh''..

Jay kept with him everything that touched him, specifically everything that belonged to Ragini'..

Trying to shun away these thoughts, she turned back to go inside the resort, while he slowly opened the front gate and sat on his seat thinking about them...

All this while when Ragini was outside chatting with Jay
Shobhit was checking out the whole resort as he wanted JayRa to spend some time alone & clear out their missundertandings.

He was roaming around in one of the corridor & suddenly saw a girl struggling with the door of her room...the door had jammed & she wasnt able to open it.


The girl turned around & Shobhit was memerised by her beauty..
She was wearing a white Salwar-Kameez & gave a cute smile to him & said :

"ohh thanks..thats so sweet of you."

Shobhit smiled back & quickly opened the door.
She again said "Thank You" to him & went inside her room.

Shobhit then went to Jay who was waiting for him outside

It was 9am in the morning..
Ragini woke up & saw Sanaya still sleeping beside her.

She got up from the bed & opened the window..

She looked outside & a cold breeze of wind touched her face..she smiled

She didnt want to disturb Sanaya so she went outside to spend some time with nature..

While walking around in the garden..she heard similar voice..
She moved forward to look the person & it was none other than Jay.

Jay was wearing his night suit & was standning bare foot.
He looked sleepy & was scolding someone on the phone.

Jay : I cant come there & attend the meeting ..I told u guys to cancel it.
Dont call & disturb me..I m here to attend a personal event!

Ragini was hearing all this & wondered
"Gosh...he talks so RUDELY when he is angry"

She walked further to avoid Jay but suddenly heard a scream saying "OUCHHH"
It was Jay yet again😆

She ran towards him just to see Jay sitting on the ground..
She bent down & held his foot that got a piece of glass.

Jay : Ohh its Ok...I'll manage.

Ragini : I know how well will u manage...just SHUTUP & let me do something.

Jay smiled & said to himself
"Bilkul nahi badli"

Ragini : Who told u to come bare foot outside?

She started taking out the piece of glass slowly.

Jay : I got an important call so i came outside to attend it & forgot to wear my slippers.

Ragini : Will u ever become responsible & care about urself? Get this fact clear in ur head that u're important to many people & they need u.

Jay was stunned hearing this & thought "Is she talking about herself?...Umm..she needs me?"

Ragini : I was talking about ur mother & ur friends...dont think anything else please.

Jay thought to himself again "OMG..she heard what i said in my mind"

Ragini pulled out the piece of glass & stood up to go just then Jay held her hand.
She liked his touch coz she felt it after 4 years..she wanted to look at him lovingly but controlled her emotions & looked at him angrily.

Ragini : may i know why u held my hand?

Jay: Actually I wanted to say "Thanks"

Ragini : So say it na..but please leave my hand.

Jay didnt realise that he was still holding her hand..

he left it & said:

Jay : Thanks

Ragini : Your welcome...dont forget to put some ointment on ur foot.

Jay : Yeah I will..

Ragini went from there & Jay kept looking at her till she went away from his sight😳

She came in her room thinking about Jay..

"He's still the same...bilkul nahi badla...Pagal nange paer bahar aa gaya"

She smiled & suddenly realised

"Wait...what was he doing here?? As far as i remember...he & Shobhit were staying in the HOTEL...yahan kaise aa gaya ye?"

She saw Sanaya all ready to go somewhere.

Ragini :tu kahan Jaa rahi hai ab?

Sanaya : Kahin Nahi...2nd floor pe

Ragini : 2nd floor?? Waahan aisa kya hai jo tu subah subah tayyar hoke waha ja rahi hai?😕

Sanaya : PAGAL...the boys are staying there!!

Ragini : Kaun boys?

Sanaya : Shobhit & Jay

Ragini : But wo log yahan kaise aa gaye...kal toh wo HOTEL mein thay..

Sanaya : Yeah u're right..but tujhe pata hoga na ki shaadi se pehle Mujhe aur Mohit ko koi milne nahi deta..

Ragini : So??

Sanaya: So Mohit told Jay & Shobhit to stay at the resort so that he tells his relatives that he is going to meet Jay-Shobhit but will actually come here to meet me.😳

Ragini : Gawd...tum dono PAGAL ho..aise ideas aate kahan se hai tumhare dimaag mein?

Sanaya :Iss baar ye idea Jay-Shobhit ka tha...

Ragini : ohh...now i got it that why Jay was roaming around in the garden.

Sanaya : Jay garden mein tha?

Ragini ; Nahi kuchh nahi..tu jaa...main thodi der mein aati hun upar..

Sanaya : Han u go & get ready..will catch ya upstairs..mujhe tujhse kisi se milwana bhi hai😉

2nd floor-Jay-Shobhit's room

Shobhit : Ye Mohit kahan reh gaya...Sanaya aati hogi...

Jay : Aa jayega..tu kyun chinta kar raha hai.

Sanaya knocked the door..

Shobhit : Sanaya aa gayi...

Jay looked at the door thinking Ragini too might be with her but he was disappointed.

Shobhit: Ragini kahan hai?

Jay again looked at Sanaya curiously as he too wanted to know where was she.

Sanaya observed Jay...she looked at Jay & replied:

Sanaya: Dont worry..she'll come after some time..she hasnt yet taken a shower!

Jay gave a nod

Sanaya : Ab ye Mohit kahan reh gaya...5 minute ka rasta hai Hotel se Resort tak...fir bhi itni der laga raha hai

Jay : Aa raha hoga Sanaya..dont get resteless.

Sanaya : Hmm...Achha ye batao..ye resort mein rehne waala idea kaise aaya tum dono ko?

Shobhit & Jay gave a grin.

Shobhit: Idea kahan se aaya matlab? Idea kahin se aata nahi..bas aa jaata hai..we'll not explain that now.

"Shobhit & Jay came up with this idea becoz Shobhit wanted to meet the girl he met last night & Jay wanted to stay close to Ragini☺️"

Sanaya asked Shobhit

Sanaya : Jay ka toh mujhe samajh aata hai...par tu yahan rehne ke liye kaise tayyar ho gaya?

Shobhit didnt want to tell her about the girl & was thinking what to reply...

Just then Jay said:-

Jay: Mera samajh mein aata hai matlab?

& she winked at him

Jay : aisa kuchh nahi ai Sanz..zyada matt socha kar tu.

Ragini got ready & was moving towards the staircase

Mohit came from behind & patted her shoulder.

Mohit : Oyye...tu mujhse toh mili hi nahi.

Ragini : Tujhse milne hi toh upar ja rahi thi...i thought u were upstairs.

Mohit : Na...Sanaya wait kar rahi hai mera main toh abhi aaya hun.

Ragini gave a side hug to Mohit & said:-I m gald u & Sanaya are getting married finally.

Mohit : even I am Glad...tu bata kaisa chal raha hai sab?

Ragini:Everything is fine & going smooth

Mohit : Ohh I am even more glad now.

Ragini : Chal ab upar chal...Sanaya maar dalegi tujhe agar tu aur late hoga toh.

Both of them laughed & went upstairs

Aastha: Theek hai..hum hospital chalte hain seedha...but plz unke samne rona matt...he's alright now.

Ragini nodded..but still couldn't control her tears..she wanted to see him now!

Soon they were on their way..Aastha kept consoling hwr and sighed...

"No use telling her not to cry...may be talking to her dad would help her"

HOSPITAL

As soon as she reached the room and saw her Dad sleeping on the bed, she began to sob.."Shalini" her Mom, who was sleeping on the chair after a long ordeal, had dozed off for a few minutes, woke up immediately..she looked at the door horrified at the sight of her daughter crying..

Shalini: Gini..she said slowly..walking out and holding her daughter in her arms..Kuch nahi hua beta...Papa thik hai..chup ho ja.kuch nahi hua..

she said hugging her carssing her hairs.She had tears in her eyes as well..

She slowly took Ragini to the nearby chair and made her sit..

Ragini kept sobbing..and Shalini kept assuring her that her dad was alright and would be fine very soonAfter a few minutesRagini got up and looked at Shalini.Shalini wiped her tears.and pinned her hairs back!

Shalini : Gini ..Papa bilkul thik hai...samjhi...doctor ne kaha hai ki thode din bedrest ke liye kaha hai aur physio therapy se sab thik ho jayega...par woh ek do din Papa ko hospital mein hi rakhenge, observation mein..phir hum Papa ko ghar lekar ja sakte hain

Ragini: Tum sach keh rahi ho na ma? She asked with tears in her eyes...

Shalini: Pagli.tujh se jhooth kyun bolungi..Tu Papa se mil le aur phir Aastha ke sath ghar jaa...kitni thaki hui lag rahi hai...thoda aaram kar le ghar jakar..waise mein ne kaha tha Astha se ki tujhe pehle ghar le jaye aur arram karne ko kahe..par pata hai, tune hi zidd ki hogi...hai na, she said shaking her head and wiping Ragini's face with her pallu..Kaisi halat bana li hai apni..she scolded her slowly...papa dekhenge to aur pareshan ho jayenge...chal mere sath ...thoda hath muh dho le...she said taking Ragini's arm...Ragini went with her and washed her face...Shalini took out her hair brush and brushed her hairs..and once satisfied, they walked back to the room..chal Papa se mil..she said with an encouraging smile..Ragini nodded slowly and went in...she looked at her dad, tears again forming in her ears..a tear fell on Prakash's face and he opened his eyes..

Prakash: Gini..he said with a slow smile..aa gayi beta.

Ragini: Papa.she whispered..wiping her tears...

Prakash: Mein thik hun beta..tu ro kyun rahi hai..bas ek do din mein ghar aa jaunga..kaisi rahi sanaya ki wedding?.

Ragini: Bahaut maza aaya Papa..she said looking away.

Prakash: Pagli kahin ki... tu ghar ja...Aur agli baar aayi na to zara badi si smile bhi sath leke aana...aur thode sweets..he said with a little smile..

Ragini laughed through her tears..and nodded..

Prakash: Haan ab acha lag raha hai..he said smiling.

Ragini then slowly went out with Aastha..

They were soon on their way and she kept crying silently wiping her tears...

Aastha decided to stay with Ragini till the time her parents don't come back

Once home, Ragini & Aastha fell asleep..after a while she got up and went to the kitchen and quickly prepared evening dinner, she packed it in a basket..She woke Aastha up and they both went to hospital and had there dinner together with Prakash & Shalini ..

And soon they left in her bedroom she switched on her cell phone..she could see that there were atleast 25 missed calls...she knew, who it must have been from...She wanted to call when she got back in the morning...but she was so dead,tired and miserable...she was not in the position to call any one..

"Kya soch raha hoga mere bare mein"..she thought sadly...

but then images of her father in pain also kept haunting her.She could see that her mom was also stressed out...they both hid it well, but they missed the point that she was not 12 but 21 now...she looked at the missed calls...2 from Shobhit...3 from Sanaya...2 from Mohit and all the others were from Jay..she sighed...She went and looked for Aastha..she was reading a novel.She first called Sanaya and told her about her safe arrival.

She was about to call Jay ..when Aastha came in...

She kept the phone down...and looked at Aastha...

Ragini: Ho gaya tera book padhna?he nodded with a grin and jumped on the bed..

Aastha: Haan..achha chal apne photos dikha na...

Ragini: Thik hai...tu ruk, main LAPPY on karti hun..Waise bhi mujhe thodi aur pics daalni hai...

She took out her Laptop and switched it on...she then showed her all the wedding photos...she intentionally hided her pics with Jay so that Aastha doesn't start teasing her or ask any questions related to him.

After some time..Aastha went to sleep in the other room..

Ragini closed the door of her room..changed into her nighty and then sat on the bed with a sigh...she took the phone and dialed Jay's no. But he was not responding..she tried again..but nothing...she sighed..

Ragini: Naraaz hoga mujhse..kyun na ho...subah se meine phone karke, pahunchne ki khabar bhi nahi di...Waise abhi tak wo Mumbai Pahunch gaya hoga..he said he'll get to Mumbai.

She then decided to call Shobhit to ask about Jay..

Shobhit: Are Ragini...pohunch gayi thik thak?.

Ragini: Han shobhit..pahunch gayi..

Shobhit:kafi lamba safar tha na?

Ragini: han safar lamba toh tha..achha woh Jay kahan hai?

Shobhit: Pata ni mujhe kluchh bataya nahi usne..I guess he has gone back to Mumbai..wo apna samaan pack raha tha tujhe airport se milke aane ke baad..tu ye bata Papa kaise hain?

Ragini: Hospital mein hain...thik hai..kuch din rukna hoga hospital mein.She said blowing her nose.Achha chal main badmein phone karti hun...she wanted to tell him, to ask Jay to call her..but was too shy to say so...

Shobhit: Thik hai Ragz...tum apna dhyan rakhna...aur Uncle ke bare mein phone karke batana badmein

Ragini: Okay...

She closed her eyes and remembered her time with Jay...her eyes filled with tears...She waited for a long time for Jay's call...and eventually fell asleep with the phone in her hand!

She got up in the morning, when her alarm went off..she looked at the phone for any missed calls..but there were none..she looked at the cell phone with a sad sigh and got up..She went to wake Aastha and got ready.She & Aastha quickly prepared breakfast and also made some lunch for everyone..Affter that they went to the hospital...within an hour they reached there.

HOSPITAL

Prakash: Aagayi beta...Neend aayi raat ko ya nahi?

Ragini: Haan papa..aap kaise ho?

Prakash: Mein ek dum thik hun...jaldi breakfast do bahut bhook lagi hai...he said smiling

Shalini: Gini, tumne aur Aastha ne khaya?

Gini didn't say anything..but aastha replied..

Aastha: nahi aunty..isne nahi khaya

Shalini: Chup chap baith aur humare sath kha..she said angrily...apna dhyan nahi rakhegi, to humara kaise rakhegi..Saara burden humein asstha ke sarr nahi dalna..wo humara aur tera khayal akele thodi na rakh payegi.

Prakash: Beta, itna tension kyun le rahi ho...sab thik ho jayega..chalo khaa lo..

Ragini sighed and ate slowly...how could she tell them, that she was not only tensed about her dad, but also for Jay..

Ragini: Maa...tum abb ghar jao...aur aaram karo...mein aaj din mein papa ke sath rehti hun...Aap Shaam ko aa jana..

Shalini:Nahi..main ni jaa rahi..

Aastha:Nahi aunty..aapne apni halat dekhi hai..u need rest..waise bhi hum aapko akela nahi chhod rahe..chalo main chalti hun aapke sath.

Prakash: Haan Shalini...tum jao...mein meri beti ke sath kuch waqt bitana chahta hun...waise bhi kitne dinon ke baad ayi hai...he said smiling.

Shalini: Thik hai..tu ruk jaa..chal Aastha..par promise kar tu humesha ki tarah gadi tez nahi chalayegi..

Ragini & Prakash laughed..

Aastha : han aunty promise karti hun..ab chalo..and she held Shalini's hand.

It was 7pm in the evening...Shalini & Aastha were back in the hospital & now they told ragini to get back home!

She was dead tired..she just wanted to go and hit the bed for some time.She drove home carefully...thinking about her dad and then about Jay.she then remembered, that her cell phone was off..she was near the house.but as soon as she came near..she saw someone sitting on the steps.It was still a little dark, and she got frightened, she could not see who it was clearly...Though their neighborhood was safe, no one would ever guarantee.She started taking out her phone from the purse, switched it on to call 911, with shaky hands.When she was near, she looked at the person and was shocked to see Jay there.

She threw her cell phone on the side seat..parked the car and opened the car door and ran out.Jay was standing just outside her house.

Ragini: Jay?? she whispered..Jay nodded with a smile and Ragini immediately ran to him and hugged him tightly..tears pouring down her cheeks..

Jay: Kaisi ho..? He asked..

Ragini just shook her head and kept crying..

Jay: Chalo andar chalein..bahar thand mein kulfi jum gayi hain...2 ghante se wait kar raha hun..aur tumhara cell phone bhi nahi lag raha tha..Howz ur Dad? he asked carssing her hair...

Ragini: Sorry...she said wiping her tears...woh cell phone nahi karte hospital mein..

Jay: Koi baat nahi..andar chalo..itni thaki hui lag rahi ho lag raha hai abhi gir jaogi..

Ragini: Tum yahan...abhi? she asked looking up..

Jay:Humesha tumhara sath nibhane ka vada kiya hai...aise waqt mein akele kaise chodta..

Ragini broke in sobs and hugged him tightly..

Jay also hugged her closing his eyes..these 24 hours were so frustrating and tiring..he could not talk to her...did not know how she was.

Ragini slowly wiped her tears and stood back..Jay's hands were still on her shoulder..

Ragini: Chalo..andar chalo...main mera purse aur phone le ati hun car se...she said with a small smile..

Jay: Mein front door par rukta hun...mera saman sabh wahin hai..

Ragini: Nahi ye lo keys..open the door and keep all ur stuff inside.

Jay took the keys and opened the door.

He got inside and kept all his stuff at a corner.

Ragini by that time locked her car & came inside..She closed the door from inside!
