In STAR Plus'Sasural Genda Phool while Suhana and Ishaan have built their new home in Mumbai, they are unaware of the problems their family is facing back in Delhi.
With the arrival of the estranged son, Ishwar, everyone's lives in the Kashyap family is in an uproar - especially that of his wife. Shailaja aka Badi ma talks about the pain of Ishwar's presence and how it is affecting everyone at home.
What are you feeling on the return of your husband? Shailaja says, "Nothing. I am not happy or thrilled to see him back in the house. In fact I am indifferent towards him yet angry with him for returning in such a manner. He has been forceful and pushed his way into the house. Everyone at home has been unwelcoming but he doesn't seem to get it. He has been rebuked and ignored but he doesn't take a hint. Can you believe after leaving us for years now he feels he is the son of the family and we can't do anything if he wants to stay with us? He never fulfilled any of his responsibilities when needed, but now he has come to claim his right. How dare he?"
Ishwar has been imposing himself not only on her but her kids as well. "Yes he feels that because I wear sindoo rand a mangalsutra, I still am his wife but for me he doesn't exist. When I met him earlier, it was on the behest of my mother-in-law and not my wish at all. I have no feelings for him whatsoever. The kids are mine, not his."
What does she plan to do next? "Everyone in the family, including me, is taking each day as it comes. Initially we were shocked at his boorish behaviour and now we are all angry at him for causing distress."
