SGP fans, enjoy the ride, our Sushaan will always be together and SGP will continue to be a great series. There's no need to get overly upset, angry, emotional over what we may think will happen in the future, let it happen and if during the thread most fans aren't happy the direction its going in, don't you think the CV'S will see this and make the necessary adjustments.
So take a deep breath, release, deep breath, release... ;) No matter how long the Sona track is, a few weeks of her won't be bad because there is absolutely nothing to worry about her getting in the way of Sushaan or Ishaan liking her more than Suhana.
To the people that think Ishaan would be better off with Sona or that Suhana is too childish etc.think about this. Ishaan fell in love with Suhana the very first time he saw her (her car hitting his scooter); he saw Sona for how many years, did he ever like her more than a friend, no. How many times has Ishaan told Suhana that their relationship is for 7 generations, they will always be together; can you ever see Ishaan who is this pure, honest and innocent guy to forget his vows to Suhana, no.
Ishaan lost his memory and still fell in love with Suhana/Shashikala when he could have gone for anyone else, why, because his bond to her was so strong. He loved her so much that he was willing to be with her (first year), even when she didn't love him and he would do anything to make her happy, even if that meant she would leave him and go back to her family. Now after all that love he has for her, do you think anyone can come in between that bond? Please, not a chance.
He has loved her from the start, her childishness, her spending habits, her temper, all her faults. but Ishaan has accepted those, isn't he always the one that says to her, Suhana, never change who you are, stay the same Suhana that I have always known?
Don't forget also how much Suhana loves Ishaan, she defends him against papa, she won't let anyone make too much fun of him, the hell she went through during amnesia track and her adjusting to Ishaan's parivaar (obviously with the help and love of his parivaar) but at the end of the day, it was her love for him that made her stay (remember the famous "I LOVE ISHAAN" scene!) Ishaan is also lucky to have a girl like Suhana that loves him completely, so there is no way Sona could come between Sushaan's bond.
Ishaan needed a girl like Suhana in his life, not a girl like Sona. Her influence on him has made him a better person. Remember before he met Suhana, he was always this nervous, super shy, quiet guy, not very confident, always adjusting his tie nervously etc. Slowly through the series Ishaan has grown in confidence. (remember the train scene before the honeymoon when he protected Suhana and yelled at train conductor, she was proud of him and even he was surprised because he never would have done that before)
He looks everyone in the eye, he isn't afraid to make fun of his Papa and others in the family, he stands up to Suhana when he thinks she's wrong even if it means her being naraz, and even this Mumbai track, would he have had the guts to make this decision when we first saw him in the series, no way.
Suhana's outgoingness, her confidence and bravado have rubbed off on him a little. Suhana and Ishaan balance each other out, she's the fire and he's the water. If Sona was so important to him, why didn't she have any lasting influence on him? She will always be just a friend to him, she's like a sister to him.
Let Sona stick around for a few weeks, a jealous Suhana is always funny and it will be nice seeing her be a little insecure sometimes but it will also be good to see Sona realize that Ishaan truly loves Suhana deeply and if she's a good friend, she will respect that. Bottom line, one of the shows strengths is the love between Sushaan, soulmate love is a powerful force so theres no way the CV's would endanger that.
