I am not sure that many are thinking about what you would do if you were in this situation. If my husband picked up and left one day without informing me, then if he returned, I would not be able to trust him right away. It has been a short time since he returned. But, how does she know that he will not pick up and leave again? He got a job and starts today. But, how does she know that he won't do like he did before. And, as for her family - there were many times when she wanted to go there, and he didn't want to go. Parties and other things meant more to him. So, he remembers Ishaan's birthday one time and she's supposed to believe he has changed overnight?
It would take a long time for me to get close to my husband if he did all that. There needs to be time for her to see that he has actually changed, and he won't leave her again. And, it will take a long time for her to remember the pain she suffered while he was gone (that too without any support). People can't just turn on and off their feelings!
