I have to confess that I haven't watched any of the daily soaps before SGP, only watched the comedy shows you guys mentioned which had Ratna Patak Shah and Farida Jalal, Supriya jee (both) in it , I had to watch, they were the class, and still is. I watch Pakistani serials, once in a week , one hour episode , good writers, directors, actors finishes with in 20 to 24 episodes that's it. Since star plus Pakistani tv started daily soaps as well but public is not very keen on it, dramas are better over there because they have tough competition with Indian and more and more Pakistani channels, so the quality is better and very very real content , it covers wide range of stories from terrorism tolione stories everything, not much saas bahu saga more of social issues. I lived SGP because it was not a typical show, close to our values across the border and religious values. I saw RDB and BB they too suffered from deviating from the story and adapting the unrealistic and over dramatic scenario in race of TRP boast but Alas failed badly and in the way ruining great show with real potential, I hope the most talented and creative team of SGP don't let SP ruining the show.
