Yes ...my childhood memories are my priceless and most precious wealth and in my memory i have captured those simple images of my nation, simple life , fun, learning good things and a lot and what i found that when i grown up all that is lost .....why because people don't know the true meaning of Development😕😕........
Yes like mind think alike hope that such minds will be in majority one day😃😃

Madhu there are hundreds and thousands like us who are not happy with the current state of movies.......The real cinema is long dead and with it even the actors............Today its all about glitz and glamour...........The younger generation who haven't seen these movies are oblivious of the beauty of such realistic cinema with gr8 actors.....They have got lost in the glamour world.......

I am so happy too that there are people like me!! I have not watched SRK , SK or any K movies for ages and ages, just saw Tanu Weds Manu, liked it as it was simply done. Sadma is my all time favourite I was in school at that time and cried so much and was upset for so many days, recently with my friends we had an argument about Madhuri is the BEST and I said may be but when it comes to acting Sridevi has done more hutkay work then her. She didnot get her due as Madhuri. But Himanshu, you cant compare TV stars to movies yaar. I watch old movies any time then these new ones. I saw a movie Manorma Ten Feet Under, it was a good movie, so many good ones are hidden under these Munnis and Shiela. I just dont understand how can people like the same kind of movies time after time.

By the way the topic was CHINA and we ended up in JAPAN!!

@ Sheemu ji, Japan seems more interesting than China 😛 please don't kill me..😉

And try watching the late '70s movies people.. Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee movies.. They were amazing.. Milli is my all time fave.. There's another one called Piya ka Ghar.. You have to watch them to see what good cinema is, and what performances are

Yes ....u r right i have watched all even the classics of 50's and 60's too....how could i miss the movies like Pyasa, Sahib biwi aur ghulam and Dil ek mandir.........

And yes 70's movies were just too good....mix of stylish and classical movies too....like Milli....if Anand is remembered for Rajesh Khanna then Milli is remembered for Jaya Bhaduri.......Milli was just a fantastic movie....i have watched it so many times and can not afford to miss if i get a chance to see it again.........and Piya ka ghar was another one .......Jaya Bhaduri was too good in a character which has childish and innocence and that movie has got a veru soulful song.....Ye Jeevan hai iss jeevan ki......and movies of Amol Palekar so many classics has been made those days that an endless discussion can be go on 👏

To all the SGP forum members who think aunty and me are Bhanti Bhanti, please read this thread....

1. Sridevi has done more hutkay work then her. She didnot get her due as Madhuri.
I agree with you totally and completely....This is more cuz Madhuri's movies was bent towards glamour/looks and Sridevi towards performance...But the entire movie fraternity and the aam junta agrees that Sridevi is the best actor..Stardom is different but...

2. just saw Tanu Weds Manu, liked it as it was simply done...
I too liked this movie ..it can't get simpler than this......

3. so many good ones are hidden under these Munnis and Shiela
What a way to put it...Aunty I am proud of you....Aaj bhi there are few good movies being made but they get hidden under these Munnis and Shielas...😃

And Aunty the topic was CHINA and we ended up in ANTARTICA not JAPAN....Kya karein Sridevi kaa naam aaya aur hum sab behak gaye....

vo adaakara hee kya jo apne darshakon ko behka naa sake..
