Today as he faces a mid career crisis ....he instead of admitting and accepting the situation and making efforts to tide away the crisis... choses to deepen that very crisis..thanks to his ego..!!

On the other hand we have Panna... who grew up watching her mothers heart broken..in a family ..which mite not boast or flaunt its status but a family which taught her to value relations.. love...bonding and instilled in her the ability to tide over a crisis... with her head held high!! As Raunak decided to expend on the gifts...she suggested...alternate solution by gifting sweets while also asking Raunak to settle for non branded stuff...till the crisis lasts..!!

@bold, that was nicely put, you have summed up Raunak's character very well...I think one of the main insecurity Raunak faces is that he doesn't want to turn out like his father, this insecurity comes out in the form of ego, especially when Panna tries to make ends meet and thanks to his mother, for the sense of false pride that he has inherited from her, which prevents him from thinking rationally and see the gravity of the situation..looks like he is well on his way from runnning away.
Panna, continues to remind me of BAdi-Ma, especially in the scene where she tells him that she would buy his his branded aftershave in her first salary just like how he used to get her things from his income, she takes so much care of his self-esteem, really sad that anyone in the house barring the fIL maybe, fails to see this trait of her.An irony when the Kashyaps realise the importance of BM, the same cannot be said for Panna.

Same here....both mother n daughters life are mirroring each other but in so different a situation..!! N going by the indya.com articles spoiler about Raunak leaving home..i cant begin to imagine the pure torture thru which Panna will have to go thru...first from her MIL n second in her own heart/mind

I have not been watching SGP for quite sometime Tanu, but what u have written actually makes me wanna go n watch it. Especially scenes on Panna n Raunak. Honestly the only track in the show currently that interests me is Ranuak n Panna's ones. The last i saw was Raunak wanting to buy Diwali gifts for everybody in the family including the Kashyap parivaar. Am kinda backdated here.😆 If there's someone whom i can't stand it's Raunak's mom. It's partly becoz of her that her son is behaving as such. Coz at times we do see Raunak thinking twice abt his actions but with his mom coming in n voicing out her opinion, it kinda serves like a form of support n he goes back to his ego elf..😆
Anyways beautifully written! :)
