I understand your sentiments. Even I've truly loved watching this show.Specially the way they built up the bond between Badi maa - Suhana....its touched me beyond words. I can't begin to describe how much I've loved their scenes, be it Suhana placing a smile on Badi maa's palms or be it Badi maa cradling Suhana in her arms as if she were a little child. And apart from that the entire family was such fun to watch, their random jokes, their ched khaani, their teasing...everything was sooo real & relatable. It was the very reason many people connected to this show...the real emotions, the real relations, the real family life...I can't believe that they have out of nowhere LOST all this. Even IS had grown onto me so much more since the Sid incident...and now I've totally lost my connect with them & their story. Ishaan's character is a world away from where he was before & I'm disappointed that they couldn't handle his character well. Sadly, Jay has to also be blamed for this but if the direction/writing was better i'm sure even he could have done better.
I hate how this always happens with shows we like. And when the makers themselves have decided to pay no heed to criticism & have completely changed their intentions for making this show then I don't see a chance for any sort of redemption.

Even if he did not acknowledge the mistakes made, I wish he hadn't responded in such a conceited manner. I would have definitely appreciated a 'If you don't like something we will work on it' attitude instead of this bullshit about not working for TRPs. I hope he understands that if this is how he is going to treat the audience who appreciated his show all this while then TRP bhi do laat marke bhaag jayegi.

Where does this funda come from that that Hindi speaking audience would rather see LOUDDDDDDDDDD over the top bullshit? Haan?? Are we like brainless monkeys who don't GET something unless it is show to us in an OTT louddddd fashion? Hadh hai yaar! How can these be the same ppl that gave us such beautiful poignant moments in this show at one point! My heart says they're not! Not at all anymore....Now toh they are god only knows on what trip wherein they have firstly RUINED Ishaan's character permanently IMO and then showing us this Sona bakwaasiyat on top of that.....I might still have been able to watch the show for the rest of my fav. characters like BM, Suhana etc. but since this current track is oh so "crucial" and centerstage right nowđŸ„±, even the other characters can't make me watch this show anymore!

EXACTLYYYY!!!! SO SOOO trueeee!!

That's exactly what I don't get either!! Why do these people think that they HAVE to show stuff in such an OTT manner for people to get it?? This is what pisses me off the MOST about shows that screw up eventually! It's the fact that they think their viewers are IDIOTS who aren't going to get something unless it's shown in the most OTT way possible!! Or worse when they think ki we'll just sit here and take whatever kind of crap they throw at us and still applaud them for it?!?! I just don't GET HOWWWW a creative can totally dismiss an audience's opinion like that!! Makes me feel insulted for loving this show and devoting so much of my time to it when this is the kind of treatment we get for voicing out our honest opinions?!?

You know in a way I think we shouldn't even be surprised. NO WONDER this show is SO crap these days!! Just look at the mentality of the creative himself!!!

I remember reading articles and stuff earlier on, and someone in the forum recently just stated this as well...that initially we used to read Zama Habib's quotes saying how this show was all about good values, an actual story, family, positivity etc...so when you read stuff like that coming out of the creatives mouth you felt GOOD that such a show was in such good hands you know what I mean? Hearing this kind of a vision from the creative convinced you about the show's integrity!! I had FAITH in the creatives because reading stuff like that made me believe that they would continue to show us great moments because they themselves were on the same page as us!! Just like we loved the show for it's poignant moments and positivity, the creatives too believed in delivering these things to us...so it just felt like there was mutual respect and FAITH in the show being true to it's promise!!

But really reading these kinds of words from the show's creative really makes me NOT want to watch this show ever!! Really, WHY should I watch a show were the creatives could care less about my opinions and underestimate my intelligence like this??!

Exactly yaar. Why couldn't he atleast have been HONEST with us? Don't we as viewers deserve that much for devoting so much of our time towards this show? I would've def. appreciated some decency than this kind of a response! Yeah, you're right. Even if he didn't acknowledge the fact that they screwed up, the LEAST he could've done was to give us an assurance that he'd work on doing better! That's really the MINIMAL level of decency expected!! And totally! If this is how he treats his audience then God save this show, because there's NO way in hell I feel like watching this show after reading stuff like this from the creative's mouth!

I agree to this part word for word Pallu.
Now he comes across as smug & unconcerned about criticism. Success has obviously gotten to their heads & they've turned a blind eye to reality. What more can one say to such people *shrugs*

Awwww I totally agree with you guys! It makes me so upset to see such an awesome show screw up like this! All those moments we've spent SO much of our time discussing in detail like the Badi-ma/Suhana moments and the IS moments! I was actually so thankful for a show like this! That actually portrayed REAL emotions and made us connect to them! The best thing about this show was it's honesty. All the emotions and characters and everything was SO REAL!!

I was actually watching some past IS scenes on Anu's account while making sigs for that IS sig contest...this was last weekend when I still felt something for this show. Anyways, just watching those scenes made me realize how much potential IS's love story actually had. Even though I loved this show mostly for the family moments and the positivity, but still IS had so much potential too! The way they would connect was so amazing to watch! I was actually teary eyed or literally laughing out loud in so many of their scenes!!!

And this is what I don't get...ki how can you dismiss the opinions of your own audience?? Isn't the whole point of making a show in the first place to be able to connect with the audience?? To show emotions in a way that the audience can't HELP getting sucked into them?? Then when clearly the audience isn't connecting with this, how can you go on pretending like everything is all well and rainbows still?? Binna audience ke kya achaar becheinge ye log?? Seriously blows my mind how you can be a creative or a story writer and have this kind of a mentality!!! It's just upsetting really. When they can have expectations out of us to watch and connect with this show, then don't we have the same expectations for them to be able to deliver in a way that we can stay tuned???

Ughhh whatever man...I thought I was done ranting about the screw ups of this show too, but this post was just too much I guess!!

Jeez , that is really disappointing...I agree with you all, the makers enjoy it when you appreciate but cannot take it when being criticised. ..EGO looms high in this profession, but one fails to realize there is no groW*H for creativity in the presence of ego...fine they do nto want to follow OBS word for word, we have appreciated stuff when they made some changes, I have personally loved the way they have shaped up BadiMa-suhaana relationship in SGP better than the original, however the same cannot be said for the IS relationship, now with this new track coming up, IS look more of a comedy track and the IL equation in OBS was shaping up in a different way altogether, the least we can ask for, is a meaningful track for IS....now hard is that, especially when you have already done that in the original😕.
This is realy disheartening!

Sorry to hear that SGP writer Zama Habib is so rude.
I think the downfall of SGP is soon.. (Sorry if i have hurted anyone), i have not missed a single episode of SGP till previous week shirt scenes and later SONA OTT started. Eventhough i love Ishaan , but now a days his charcter is downfall due to OTT and he is showing the same expressions and chimpuness. Where is the Intelligent and clever ishaan and now ishaan really ignoring suhana .
I love watching serials, but showhow i stop every serial in the middle ithe story , or OTT or writers go after TRP's and destroy characters. I used to watch Pavitra rishta, jhasi ki rani, bidaai, YRKKH, karol bagh, Saathiya... and some other serials. But i stoped every serial. Now from past 2 to 3 months i am watch only SGP daily.
But from 1 month scooter scenes, shirt scenes, SONA Track really irritated me and ishaan carrying sona is so much OTT and all ignore suhana. The gripping and story telling is lost somewhere
I couldn't understand how the writers of SGP ignore IS relationship, which is the main plot , but just went off to jelous track. Now also there are not much good IS scenes and development in suhana's character and IS relationship is not showing well.
If the writer wanted to show suddenly suhana saying i have feeling for Ishaan ?? I couldn't understand how the writer is IGNORING and DESTROYING a MAIN PLOT of SGP Ishaan and Suhana love story ???

My mom has followed me, and has stopped watching SGP. She is like if it's "meri Sona" then why did he marry Suhaana. Then how Sona insulted Suhana was horrible. I'm waiting for this whole IS love story to finish b/c I just don't care about their love story.

Really guys, if you want to see the essence of their love story, check it out on OBS.

I am really sad that they don't concentrate on the other family members as they used to now.

I just hate this whole Sona rant. I've quit this show.
