Dear readers, it's been a tough week for all of us. Last week, we found out that Deepak attempted suicide and this week, I discovered why Radha bua was always hard on him. The revelation was disturbing and I have realised that I have a lot to learn about relationships. |
I found out that Radha bua was raped on her wedding night and got pregnant with Deepak. Unfortunately for her, she sees her rapist in her son, which is why she has been unable to accept Deepak. After knowing what has happened, Ive realised that life is not the bed of roses that I thought it was. Even when I look at the bad things that have happened in my life, like going to jail or my heartbreak with Sid, it is nothing when you see what Radha bua has endured. What kind of a man would sell his wife on her wedding night? Its disgusting and people like this deserve to go to jail.
Moreover, I am touched by Radha bua's level of tolerance. Of course she saw her rapist in Deepak, but she never abandoned him. She gave him a home, she gave him a life and she gave him education. Its true that she never spoke to him much and I always wondered why, but now I can try and understand how difficult it would have been for her. Deepak's suicide attempt shook her the most and hopefully, this will build their bond. Deepak may look like the man, who raped Radha bua, but he is nothing like him in his character and behaviour. Radha bua knows this, as do all of us and I hope that it plays a catalyst in strengthening their bond.
I have to learn so much from the Kashyap family. Radha bua for her bravery in handling so much and putting on a brave front. Badi Maa, who has always been a pillar of support to everyone through the good and bad times. She tries to have a balanced outlook towards life and in dealing with all of us, even Bade Papa. I have come to know why Badi maa is so mature and this maturity has come through what life has taught her. She was abandoned by her husband who thought she was very old fashioned, but that hasn't made Badi Ma a bitter person. She is still the most loving, caring and understanding person you can come across. It requires courage to live life like this. I am so lucky to get love from her and for that I must thank Ishaan.
I feel so proud of Badi Maa and Radha bua. They are such an inspiration to me and from them, I have so much to learn about life.
