TOI: Lord Ganesh's gift for Jay

Jay Soni is a devout Ganesh bhakt and the actor has been making a trip to Lalbaug during Ganesh Utsav every year.

This year too the actor accompanied his mother to the pandal and stood in a the queue for a few hours to get in. Once in the actor asked the pandit for some prasad, and got a box of modaks in return. When he came home and opened the box he found a small golden chattar (umbrella shaped ornament) in the box. Jay was obviously very excited. "I look at this as a form of blessing that I've got from Lalbaugcha Raja. I have been going there for so many years now. But something like this has never happened to me before. People have asked me to auction the chattar, but I refuse to part with it."
