Today's episode left me both thrilled and restless ... what a wonderful episode it was! I was angry at Sid for cheating on Suhana, loved Suhana to bits for FINALLY realizing the truth and slapping Sid, loved Ishaan for being SUCH a gem of a person. Ishaan's hesitancy and surprise as Suhana unabashedly hugged him were very well portrayed by Jai. What I loved about the hug was that it was a very simple hug brought on by circumstance. There was no sexual overtone to it. And their conversation in the park after wards truly left me wanting for more ... Ishaan's cracked voice betrayed both pain and hopelessness of the situation. As hard to watch your wife love another man, it is harder to see her leave. When Ishaan asked Suhana whether Sid is ready to accept her responsibility for the rest of her life, Suhana looked at him incredulously as if she realized at that moment what a fool she'd been all this time, chasing mirages that looked promising from afar. When Ishaan persisted and very heartbreaking said that she can go back to Sid if she wants, Suhana finally broke her silence and said no! The surprise on Ishaan's face and the slight hope of their future together was remarkable ...

Maybe I am reading too much into a simple scene ... but it was impactful enough to make my day today. 😃

LOL were you EXPECTING a sexual tone to their hug, LadyM?? I wasn't....so that wasn't exactly shocking to me....lol....they hugged like I expected them to.

I'm more intrigued to watch tomorrow's epi and the continuation of the IS convo.....today's epi was good but I expect more from the IS convo tomorrow.

No Anu I wasn't expecting it at all ... but I was scared that since this is SP channel, they might throw in some hormones in there just for the sake of TRPs. I am glad they stayed true to the plot and the characters.

LMAO.....if this was Star ONE, yeah maybe more 'HORMONES' would have started to float around😆😆.....but I dunno....I have faith in SGP in general that they show all this stuff pretty naturally....this was not the time for hormones or sexual overtones.....Ishaan reacted in a very realistic manner....surprised and confused.....they didn't even make a big deal out of 'oh will he hug her back/put his arms around her too' blah blah😆😆

Exactly Anu. They didn't make a big deal about 'should I hug her back, or shouldn't I'? They just left it at Ishaan letting Suhana holding him for support. Very nice job by the makers ...

True Shwetha - There was no OTTness associated with other shows I've seen. It was plain, simple, yet impactful.

I wouldn't have said it better. You are amazing with words M. 👏

The hug was the sweetest most innocent one I have ever seen. Ishaan's hesitation was evident and so was his love for his crying wife when they hugged. At the park, again Ishaan completely stole the scene by being so selfless. He was trying to act as the strong pillar while his insides were probably crying in agony. Yet he cares for the smallest necessities of Suhana like a hanky and water bottle as she drowned herself in tears.Really can't think of a more perfect pair.

I loved the hug because it was not portrayed in a romantic way..Suhana needed support,a shoulder to cry on and the hugging Ishaan served that purpose..The only emotions I will associate with the hug is trust,protection,comfort..It was proved again today what a gem of a human being Ishaan is..It is so painful to let the one you love go and he was prepared to do it for her happiness..
Kudos to the creatives for not rushing into anything and starting the romantic track between Sushan..Suhana will need time to heal before opening her heart to anyone else..Slow and steady is the way to go for SuShaan..👍🏼

Thank you Ananya for your reply.

Very well said ...Ishaan cared enough for Suhana to remember the essentials like hanky and water. It was very sweet ... It just goes to show what a nice person he is. Regardless of what decision Suhana makes he offered her a way out and an unconditional support, even if it was tearing him inside. And yet he was hoping that maybe, just maybe ... something might stop Suhana from leaving him. I am truly loving this show :-)

Ladoo ... I agree with you. The hug was more of Suhana's way of placing her trust on Ishaan's shoulders and letting him carry her burden. It showed trust, comfort and security, like you said. And I am glad too that they aren't rushing into anything, because both Ishaan and Suhana need time to heal before they take a plunge. :-) Thanks for your views.
