It is easier to look past injustices done to others than to yourself?

@ green - not only does she have sympathy for Eshwar but also feels the family picture is incomplete without him who left Badi maa, and also did grave injustice to Inder and Panna by depriving them a father for his lust or so called love. And in her case, her son is innocent and she was the one who brought him into this world. Yet she would not look at him + she would not let any family member talk to him. 😕 Hippocratic?

i want to see more in this bade pappa track...
what exactly is badi maa's feelings now...is she angry or sad...(cos i felt she was only sad)...
dadiji is ready to forgive ishwar but tells he has done an unforgivable mistake??(confused)..
i am damn sure dadaji and alok are ve and very angry and probably gets very angry too when anyone speaks about ishwar and why not..(dadaji has to go thru a lot of embarassmant and alok has to suddenly take up the responsibilty of the whole house)...
i think this is another thing that the family members are uncomfortable speaking though its not a topic that is banned like RB's story..,.

Interesting that you brought it up anu. I think, this probably has more to do with the respect RB has for this family Yes, she knows of the injustice that Ishwar did, but at the same time let's not forget Badi Ma herself chooses not to mention Ishwar since she wants her kids to be in peace and also doesn't want to add on to the guilt that is already haunting dada-dadi for their son's mistake. In such circumstances, I think RB finds it best way to support Badi Ma is to avoid the subject of Ishwar.
Suhaana however, is impulsive, she can't see anyone in pain and she has started seeing Badi Ma as a mother figure(since quite some time, though she admitted tat today 😊) and hence her reaction was expected. Did you notice, how RB asks suhaana to continue loving her Badi Ma the same way always......I think its cos RB cares about Badi Ma's feelings before she chooses to react to the situation 😊

No yaar, the point I was trying to make was that she brought up Ishwar....and made it sound like she's very sad that he's not part of the family.....she doesn't seem to hold grudges against Ishwar for abandoning Badi Maa.....yet she never thought of her own son while looking at the family portrait....she is unable to be rational or compassionate or sympathetic when it comes to her son.....that was the irony I was thinking about there.

Thanks yaar.....that moment really did intrigue me for the wealth of irony in it......when it comes to everything else and most other situations, Radha Bua is able to be compassionate, more mature and practical etc. etc.....in this case especially she is the one person other than Dadi who is more emotional about Ishwar and seems to miss him in a way.....everyone else in the house is bitterly angry and against Ishwar for what he did to Badi maa....but not RB.....and yes it feels even more ironic that she is not able to be compassionate towards her own son who never even DID anything wrong.....she has such extreme reactions towards him.....that is where this becomes an intriguing irony....and makes you wonder about human nature....I thought it was a pretty significant moment in the epi.

awww thanks for the update armu...

if suhana did say that about bade papa, then she did make a lot of sense...
its strange how she manages to get her facts, stance and cognition right on such deeply sensitive matters (deepak, badepapa etc), while small issues (dinner, restaurant, meethi) seem to whizz past her common sense... 😆 but then again thats how children are... sometimes they surprise you with the most brilliant deductions, while simpler issues appear incomprehensible to them... 😃

and i agree with everyone's views on RB.. RB even has an iota of empathy for the very flawed ishwar but no compassion for deepak...

after deepak left the house, she had a few tears in her eyes and that was the end of it... 😕 while the entry of deepak was so revolutionary to the kashyap household... not many seem to be as bothered about his heavyhearted departure... 😔

and btw on a different note, as i seem to be noticing - many SGP members seem to have taken on the maneet signature/avtaars 😛 sadly i have to tag behind in geet too since we are a week behind there too...

Thanks for coming up with this topic!
I actually had mixed reactions watching this scene...Suhana's outgoing and confident nature is seen here...So honestly and wihout any hesitation she said tht Bade Papa doesnt deserve to be a part of the family and tht he has hurt Badi Maa's feelings..I loved hw she said Badi Maa is such a sweet lady!!
Somehwhere I started wondering hw Radha Bua considered Ishwar to still be a p[art of the family while she is reluctant to accept her own son!Ishwar did comit a mistake and he isn't worth forgiving for it...!Bt poor Deepak...it's absolutely none of this guy's mistake, and yet Radha Bua hasn't cared to knw where and hw wud Deepak be!!I felt this was probably bcoz Radha Bua has spent her childhood days(almost more than half of her lifetime nw) with her bro, whereas she has always remained away from Deepak since his childhood...! So it's just that Radha Bua is more attached to her bro than her son, though she might be equally loving both of them!

I dunno if I'l be able to explain the answers to your doubts dear...but.. umm...I'll try/...;)
I think Badi Maa is more sad and upset than being angry with Ishwar...That's simply bcoz her nature is like tht...She is never sen getting angry on any1...It's just tht she feels sad tht her children were deprived of their father's love and/or maybe somewhere she eels humiliated for not being worth Ishwar(coz Ishwar in 1 of his letters had mentioned tht he left Badi Maa coz he wasn't able to adjust with her or love her!)...She is upset with her life and her destiny looking back at what Ishwar did with her..
Dadiji is now behaving like any mother...There's a part of herself wanting to support her husband and agrees tht what Ishwar IS wrong..Bt there's this other part of her-a mother's heart-indicating her to forgive him coz afterall he is her own son..!!The mother part of her tells her to forgive him while the other part says he has done an unforgivable mistake...
