I can see where people are coming from. Ishaan's family is very simple and have a joint family mindset. They do not understand the concept of giving space to someone. That can only be understood if you are from a nuclear family. It is pretty common to tease the newly weds. But since Suhana is already miserable with the marriage, she finds it all the more annoying.
Re: why show Bua's story on SuShaan's SR? Well welcome to old style TV shows where not only the main leads, but also the side characters are important. If you develop strong tracks for all the side characters, then the plot can be more rounded. These days we are so impatient for the main leads to "confess" their undying love for each other, that the makers are then at a loss for what track to focus on post-confession. Then there is a series of misunderstandings, break-ups, trip-fall-catch routines, long eye lock sessions, make-ups and the cycle continues. But my question is: Haven't we already seen those type of shows before? A hasty confession and an even speedier break-up. Is that what people expect to see? From what I gather SuShaan's story is a journey of how their duty bound love is eternal. Think of it as Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi story, without the SRK factor. They HAVE to build it up gradually. And to do so, they HAVE to focus on other characters.
In the epic murder mystery serial Bones, the main lead "confessed" his love for the actress after 5 seasons, only to be rejected! The makers HAVE to prolong the inevitable to develop a solid plot. The possibility of "will they", "won't they" is what keeps the viewers interests alive.
For me, I truly like this style of story-telling, when the lead actor and actress don't act like lovelorn soulmates, only days after meeting each other.
Anyhoo, I got carried away.... my POV, no offense intended to anyone.
