The episode starts with Saro telling amma that she forgot that each devil is killed by Goddess durga. Babua shouts not to give her pious lectures, rather she should start to wear cover head from now, else he'll destroy her family. He then asks her to go to kitchen and bring milk for Munna. When she comes to kitchen, Nirjhara asks what is she doing here at this time. She says to take milk for Somu. Nirjhara beams saying she's so happy for them. Saro thinks she hates Munna. She comes to Somu's room to give milk. Babua tells her to sit in Somu's lap and feed him milk and if she doesn't, he'll ruin her family. Saro reluctantly obeys him and gives Somu milk. She thinks she has to sit in Munna's lap to save her family. Somu, who feels sad for Saro, says silently that she isn't doing sin as she is sitting on her husband's lap.
In the morning, Daadi asks Nirjhara if Indira called her. She replies not yet, and she doesn't call her by evening, she herself will. Saro serves tea covering her head but as she doesn't see Munna or Babua, removes her it. She gives tea to Daadi and Nirjhara then leaves. Amma grabs her and asks why is she playing game with her. She threats if she informs her son, he'll punish her. Saro protests it's meaningless to cover one's face in front of family, it's justice and she has to oppose it. Nirjhara enquires what happened. Amma says she's explaining Saro that woman has to hide her face after being married till her death and if a woman tries to be equal to man, she knows what will happen. Nirjhara says that it's not their family culture, so she doesn't want her DIL to cover face. Daadi asks saro why she isn't protesting now being so open-minded. She answers that she doesn't quarrel unnecessarily so will speak when at right time.
Babua says to somu that they have to keep this family under their shoes. Somu sees Saro without veil and thinks Bsbua might create a scene again. He holds his legs and cries that he reminds him of their father. He hugs Somu and says not to worry, he just has to see Saro wear pallu all the time and feel their pressure.
Later, Saro cuts her finger while chopping vegetables. Somu rushes to her and concernedly washes her finger. He thinks she will realize one day that he is none but her somu. Saro looks surprised abd asks what's he doing here. He asks why is she not wearing veil. She counters back why is he worried about her. He says bhai won't keep quiet if he sees her without veil. She retorts that she doesn't believe in old rituals and he doesn't have right to act as somu, as he can't become his shadow. She continues that her somu was an dutiful son and hubby whom they snatched from her. Somu thinks she is forcing him to confess he is somu. He tells somu had eloped from jail. Saro tries to go but grabs her hand. She slaps him and warns not to touch her again, he is Munna and not Somu. She thinks whether to wear veil or not. But lastly she wears it and leaves. Babua sees Saro in veil and says she's just like what he had wanted and is obeying like obedient lady. She snaps that she doesn't have time for his drama. He asks now somu is dead, where she wants to go. Nirjhara asks why is she wearing veil. Saro hesitates but right then Somu comes to rescue. He says that he asked her to do so. Nirjhara asks what is meaning of wearing tent on head and it is not their family's ritual either. Hr says it is babua's village's ritual and he doesn't like married ladies without veil, so he asked her. Nirjhara looks surprised and asks since when he had started believing in all this. He says it's a good custom. She snaps that she doesn't want any worthless customs in her family and he should not force saro. She removes her veil and asks her why is she silent and obeying him. She asks if she is the same Saro who broke all old useless customs of this house. Saro says in mind that previous saro is dead with somu, now she's helpless.
