A tisket ,a tasket
tis now a story of a basket
she had a fight with her love
and then her brains she lost it
lost it ,lost it
She lost some last night
and the night before
and will tomorrow some more
then she'll have no more
no more ,no more
and so the story will go
will go ,will go.

Arshicsji, your bytes are a pleasurable alternative to being subjected to the 'old wine in new bottle'. All the people involved in a show must work towards its vision and when there is absolutely no vision things go awry and aimless. The creatives have already lost the plot and their direction. Their chosen theme seems to have backfired now. Once again owing to the lack of prowess and panache the narrative has fallen flat. They took enormous time to concoct the Mumbai plot and the initial treatment showed great promise and painted the leading characters in the best light which was truly refreshing, period. Presently both Mumbai and RN sequences 'boast' frivolous hackneyed rehash, fabricated circumstances, lazy contrivances and shoddy scripting. The problem lies more on a fundamental level - i.e the storytelling. Initially only the Mumbai track gave the impression of having some substance and the whole track relied on the key character prashant, the mystery associated with him, his portrayal, unfolding his story and its repercussions on the leads' life. But the creatives failed to create context and conflict in a plausible and feasible way, build his character with expectations and along the way explore his motivations and character. The core elements such as setting, plot, character, backstory and detailing have not been explored logically and adequately, hence disorderly and disjointed narrative and no finesse and reasoning to the events and episodes. Here the theme itself is indeterminate and doesn't fall under suspense thriller or murder mystery because of the lack of well-thoughtout execution that fits the respective genre. We may encounter a murder in the track. That is it. The enjoyment of a suspense drama largely depends on the unpredictability and the likelihood of different consequences which has never been the case in respect of the entire series of similar tracks in our show. No surprises and no expectations in the narrative make the suspense or mystery element go for a toss. The writers are not well versed with the nitty-gritty of their favourite genre. Actually the Mumbai sequence had the potential albeit the cliche formula of 'obsession'. But the inept handling of the key character prashant and the amateurish way of developing the mystery angle led to this fiasco. Well-etched villain characters are the ones we love to hate. But prashant character depiction is just the reverse. Though he is sufficiently creepy he is just a stereotyped evil character. Our cvs can't weave 'greyness' and smartness into a character. Here the setback is he doesn't have a solid back story, for the viewers to relate to his character. The cvs don't make him seem 'real' nor have they explored his emotions, eccentricity, his own agenda and goals. The actor is fairly good and underplays his part. From the beginning the triangular aspect of the plot (s, k & p) is not handled cleverly, but in a haphazard fashion. Prashant should have exploited saras's hectic work schedule and kumud's humdrum existence and tried to get assimilated into samud household, thereby earning her trust. That way saras's possessiveness and insecurity would have come into the forefront leading to differences between the two men. The writers could have played with human emotions rather than the silly 'misunderstanding' issue. This calls for the subtlety and intelligence in writing. The weirdo, supposedly as having a menacing demeanour is really reduced to a laughing stock with his magical accessories (window, binoculars, the placement of his flat) and copycat, underhand tricks. Writers could have added quirks to his behaviour instead of the overdone show of lechery which is uncalled-for. A backstory that unravelled simultaneously with attention to detail and new prominent and absorbing characters would have enhanced this track. Furthermore currently the narrative is unnecessarily being rushed in a forced and farfetched manner. Actually the proceedings should rather be fast paced than being 'hurried'. Here it is too simplistic and abrupt devoid of any interesting twists, development of character history, conflict, situations and suspense. The crux, essence and the core concept of the show have already been done away with. The writers have preconceptions and unconscious assimilation of the stereotyped images of the leading characters and the superficial and formulaic depiction of their relationship. This casual manner of their approach no longer rankles since I (or we?) have become impervious to it. The original concept of 'samud' is completely lost now not just because of kumud character butchery and mishandling the samud bonding, but also due to the lack of variation and excitement, tedious repetition and routine and especially their flavourless romance. The loyal fans of the jodi are already deprived of their privileges and don't get their fair share of some 'real', intimate, uninhibited display of romance. (Their hugs are only of 3 types - desperate, comforting, reassuring. In some 'close' moments k's awkwardness lacking physical ease is apparent. Their heart to heart convo on bed with a safe distance in-between simply puts me off. Even in the recent saras 'behosh' scene while waiting for the car she didn't allow him to lean on her, his head hanging in the air and nor kept his head on her lap inside the car. Poor direction or anybody's reluctance & contract (!) issues? The absence of physical intimacy (not overt) ruins their chemistry and holds no allure or appeal). Cvs have never been consistent with samud relationship and become the target for accusations of vacillating stand. Based on their fabricated drama they both look the epitome of ideal and perfect couple or go through a incompatible and fragile relationship. They are exploited for bizarre purposes with pretty puerile issues which is obviously out of keeping with their innate characteristics, strong bonding and their turbulent past life. The cvs again have resorted to the merciless, ruthless manipulation of kumud's character. It is proven that their perspective on kumud is subject to change. To meet the needs of a certain absurd context and conditions the level-headed kumud is often projected as wrong-headed and naive. For ages she has been blind, self-destroying and dimwit. The most irksome factor for the fans is that saras always doesn't figure high on her list of priorities. The worst sin ever committed by cvs is that kumud once upon a time known for her exemplary behaviour is now portrayed as outrageously dumb and obtuse. I myself have already written material worth a thesis about this character butchery and now for me it is all over and done with. Much like the cvs the lead actors are also stuck in a rut, their performances have become monotonous and ineffectual. Even their reunion or reconciliation scenes don't nowadays click with me due to its mechanical and repetitive nature and the samud moments of today have no real emotional connect, purpose or relevance. I can't quite relate to any aspect of RN tomfoolery despite my earnest attempt. The wayward son of LN is lovesick? and the airhead Anushka has a traumatised FB? (!!!!). The cvs keep dishing out these senseless and endless drivel and tumbling in the name of 'tracks'.

Arshi, I cannot believe we are all here discussing away as our ex-favourite romantic show does extreme shape-shifting and stretchhhes into a horror/crime/thriller show...
I tell you that Gautam Rode ----- he has So Much So Much Sooo Muuuch to answer for.

Lovely to be back on the forum after my break... As Mitsu said, we have all got more from this show than we expected... GR's talent of course, (but also in terms of IF & twitter friends...😃)

Hey Arshiji
awesome bytes as usual.
I couldn't comment on your bytes as i was travelling alot and i missed some episodes.
Finally i caught up with all episodes and i must say this Kumud is really dobi of RN.
Nothing to say about RN and I was right Kiran was boy.
Honestly I am not so keen about Kabir Anushka what CVs want to do with them only CVs know.
Now I am really fed up with this I don't believe in love and relations first Kabir and now Anushka.
Remember Saras was also like that but he had some strong reasons and Gauti was amazing with his expression but these two are completely wooden so for me it didn't work.
What to say about Prashant guy he is creep and really actor is quite good he really made my blood boiled when he touched Kumud.
I can't believe that Kumud is not getting what he is up to?where is her sixth sense?we girls do understand these kind of advances of men.
Really I also hated Kumud when she sat with prashant in front seat and Saras in backseat she could have sat with Saras.
Now she trusts Prashant more than Saras.
Again she proved it that she never trusted Saras and she never will.
She still thinks that he is not trustworthy remember Kusum obsession time also she told him that how could I trust you when you can break our wedding on phone?so for her everyone is right and Saras is wrong.Everybody comes first and he comes last and that too only when she wants.
And yes Gauti/Saras was star of episode. He totally rocked.
For Kumud no comment really Prashant should bury her in that wall then only she will understand the worth of Saras.
Now i also want Saras's amnesia track he should forget Kumud and this time Kumud should chase him.
Thanks for lovely bytes.

Lal04, perfectly put, you really know how to put into words the frustrations we all are feeling with the current track.

Kumud it seems will be the sacrificial goat, for the cvs lazy and thoughtless writing, for they know how to write only within the frame work of - an evil character who plays petty games that they pull out of a stockpile. one dumb lead who is supposed to fall for these games, and one smart lead who will then spend the next few months trying to out the evil to the dumb.

And then when everyone is fed up of this track, one fine day the bad guy is exposed. Sense and logic have no place in this logic, nor is any need for any consistency of characters.

Highly frustrating!

Very very poor writing, to show the lady believe a new neighbour over her husband, no matter how nice the neighbour has been, we stand by our own and first trust them and only after that an outsider!

One incident, and Prashant is confident that Kumud will believe him? After all that Saras has been and done, Kumud should know that Saras has tremendous courage and strength and can handle stress phenomenally well.

But as Anu says, CVs ka amnesia track chal raha hai. Yeh wohi Saras hai jo shuru se work related stress ko manage karta aaya hai, burn down of factory, to cancelled orders, to working in bd house, he can cope with stress exceedingly well. But Kumud ke dimaag ki ghanti nahi bajegi. Kyon ki Prashant ji ki diagnosis hai. And Prashant ji is the best psychologist in the world !

Sahi kaha aapne di... very very poor writing from cvs...😔 ye prove hogaya ki Cvs has decided to make Kumudiya not to believe Saras no matter whether he's her bf/well wisher/husband.. Remember when she was married to Pramad she had andh vishwas on Pramad as her husband!! this proves she can actually believe n trust husband..bt not Saras!!🤢
@bold:🤣 🤣 unfortunately its true..😆
