I know we want to see more physical intimacy and a hug.
But that apart, the context is that they are not on talking terms. Almost. So physical intimacy is not the only thing to look for.
And Kumud is scared of her adventure and about lying to Saras. And is upset that Saras is drifting away from her and not worried about her.
And Saras is already sulking and Kumud going laapataa of late is adding to his misery. He always looks for her presence.
In this context, this is a beautiful scene. Where they are yearning for each other and especially Saras wants kumud around as his already terrible phase of life will be even worse when she is not around. That possessiveness of a typical husband who wants his wife always around him was shown in a very subtle way.
And Kumud's happiness when she thinks it was him was so beautiful.
This is a beautiful take on husband-wife relationship when they are not on talking terms but madly love each other. And was at its subtle best. These kind of scenes have been shown in great movies and this is up there with them.
