About adversity bringing people together - Santhi I am going to disagree a bit here,
In the case of Saras and Kumud, and not just them, even for all of us,
Adversity tests our love and our character and it's how we perform in that test is what brings us closer or otherwise
We can profess deep love, jeene Marne ki kasamain etc, but it is when this love is put on trail is when the reality strikes
Also, Santhi, love that sees only itself is rarely fulfilling, it's love that flourishes in the middle of all other challenges of life is long lasting
So if you give up everything and everyone else for that one love, like kusum is doing, love will become a shackle that will suffocate itself and strangle you too.
And love takes everything you cherish along, is love that will blossom and bring joy.
And that is where Kumud is wrong. And Saras is right, for Kumud is sacrificing one love for another, but Saras is trying to balance both.
And one thing that is happening with every problem that lands up at their feet is that these two are people who love each other yes, but are also people who want to do right by everyone, not just by themselves
They have strength of character, and a strong moral standpoint, and yet are not superhuman
They are extremely vulnerable, especially Kumud who likes to project a very strong exterior but is competently messed up inside
And this they know about each other
These two have shown that love Is not always having to prove yourself, it's about accepting the other the way they are
In all this Santhi, you never see Saras or Kumud questioning the others feelings, actions yes, but motives and feelings no.
And that they need each other, they stand by each other, and they always are honest with each other, are in touch with the reality is what emerges with every test.
I think that adversity doesn't make their love stronger, it just proves the strength of their love time and again.
